SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
So I am brand new to advertising on Google.
I set up a $15/per day Smart Shopping Campaign on the 28th of April. Here are my results:
I have received 3 sales from this ad and all 3 sales occurred between May 2nd - May 4th. Therefore it's been a week and a half since I've had a sale from this ad so I know something must be wrong.
Shopify is tracking my conversions within the Marketing tab in Shopify Admin, but on Google Ads, it's saying I have had 0 conversions. So I believe there is something wrong with my Google tags?
So I go digging today and found this issue:
Fix your audience source that's sending a required parameter that doesn't match your feed
I clicked the download button but there was nothing on the spreadsheet, just the headers. I have no idea what this means, is this why I'm not getting sales from my ad? Is this why Google Ads isn't tracking my conversions? And what do I need to do to fix this?
I just have no idea what to do to fix this. I have spent way more than I have made with this ad and I just need to fix it because I know people have great success with this ad type.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. My store is pinealvisionjewelry.com if that's helpful.
Thanks in advance!
The remarketing tag is different from the conversion tracking tag.
Go to tools and settings > conversions > here is where your conversion tag is installed.
Hello @EmmanuelFlossie
I have two issues here:
1) Fix your audience source that's sending a required parameter that doesn't match your feed
This is a foreign language to me and I have no idea what I need to do to fix and remove this message.
2) Google is not tracking my conversions on my Smart Shopping Ad
I don't know how to fix this either. Shopify says the Google channel automatically adds conversion tracking events to your Google Ads account when you set it up. (Source) So why isn't google tracking conversions?
You say "Go to tools and settings > conversions > here is where your conversion tag is installed." This is what I see:
What do I need to fix here?
1) Have a read here: https://feedarmy.com/kb/your-campaigns-cant-tailor-dynamic-ads-based-on-user-activity-when-the-requi...
2) Only sales from google ads are tracked. If you received sales not from google ads, no conversion is tracked.

Have you installed Google Conversion code on your store ?
Also regarding dynamic ads that audience is useful when you run dynamic ads currently do not worry about it also this is used or dynamic remarketing. Alternatively you can also create audience in your Google analytics account.
I will also suggest rin shopping ads with manual control. Hope this helps.
Do feel free to let me know any help needed would be happy to grow your product sales too.
Thanks

Hi Brittany
If you want to implement the Google Ads tag, you can follow these three steps or use this Google Ads and Shopping free app for Shopify. Get your Conversion Pixel automatically implemented and start tracking conversions from your campaigns since the very first day. It also helps you to automate and optimize your Google ads campaigns.
here, the steps:
Step 1: Create a conversion action. Sign into your Google Ads account and go to the “Conversions” section. Then, check the different conversion options available to track and choose the one that suits better your needs and select a name and a description for the code. Be always as descriptive as possible so that you can properly differentiate it from other codes! Choose the value of conversion. In case that you are selling products with different prices select different values for each conversion. Once you have finished the rest of the steps, you will see the code that has been just created.
Step 2: Install the global site tag. Once you have created the conversion action, click on “Install tag yourself” and copy the global site tag code that you will find. Open the back office of your store and search for the option to edit the theme you are currently using for your store. Finally, paste the code between the <head> and </head> of the theme. This will make the code work for your entire website.
Step 3: Install the event snippet. Select Event Snippet and then Page load on Google Ads. Then, copy the snippet code and edit the checkout page or “Thank you page” just as you edited when you first added the global site tag. Finally, paste the Global site tag first, then paste the snippet code.
Hi Britanny
Setting up your Google tags can be a little bit confusing, so I recommend you check this Google Ads and Shopping free app for Shopify. This way you can get the Conversion Pixel automatically implemented by us and start tracking conversions from your campaigns from the very first day.
I can understand your confusion regarding Google not tracking your conversions. Conversions in Google Analytics are counted on the day the conversion is made. In Google Ads, it is on the day the person clicked. This might be the reason why you cannot see conversions on that day. The conversion might be attributed to a different date.
You can also look at the app Conversion Tracking by AdNabu.
We have developed the Easy Google Shopping Feed app by AdNAbu, which manages your merchant center feed and other advanced features such as Multilanguage.
You can also get in touch with our experts and request a demo.
Hope this helps!
