SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
Hey there Guy's,
First post & website on shopify
website setup has been going not too bad just started to set up SEO stuff etc but...
google webmaster wants me to confirm the domain but every time i try do ANY method it doesn't work.
I thought adding a TXT record would be the best way but that didn't work and either did HTML aswell?
DNS verification is the way to go these days.
If you check your domain in https://toolbox.googleapps.com/ the TXT record that should be added, is not there.
When you add a TXT record correctly, it will look like this:
^ JB HiFi as an example
You likely need to login to the domain / DNS control panel and add a TXT record in correctly.
If you got the domain name reg via Shopify then try this:

Please verify DNS. It should work, and it is one of the best option to make sure all properties of under your domain is added to Google Search Console (GSC)
