This is an accepted solution.

If you are the manufacturer, and Google suggests you have barcodes, then to increase performance buy official GS1 barcodes.

Products don't get disapproved for missing product identifiers but will get limited. However if the manufacturer has assigned barcodes, and you don't do it, yes you may find the product gets disapproved.

If you don't have barcodes, then the results in Google Merchant Center must be as followed.

Don't have any values for Brand, MPN and GTIN.

Have Identifier exists with the value no

You can fix this using feed rules, which is explained here: https://feedarmy.com/kb/fix-incorrect-product-identifier-mpn-in-google-merchant-center/

And here are the general rules in reality: https://feedarmy.com/kb/fix-limited-performance-due-to-missing-value-gtin-in-google-merchant-center/

Yes, this could work however, the products I sell require a gtin so if add an attribute and set to false Googlebot will disapprove my products

how does one afford that when they are a small business? you say it like it is so easy. it isnt, base price for GS1 membership is $5,000-10,000. only large businesses can afford that.

Simply by not buying barcodes. You are not required to do this. If you are the manufacturer, you are not required to buy GS1 barcodes.

Simply remove brand, mpn values and set identifier exists to no. As per the: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AyvilyMb2Bo

Hi @Lounes

Some products are only shown in ads by Google if they have accurate GTINs. If you do not have to leave it empty, set the identifier as 'null.'

You can also check the Easy Google Shopping Feed app by AdNAbu, which helps you avoid product disapproval due to missing GTIN. We automatically map the barcode to GTIn in The google merchant center. If you do not have one, we set the identifier to 'null.' This app also manages your merchant center feed and other advanced features such as Multilanguage, Multicurrency, and Metafields.

You can also get in touch with our experts and request a demo.

Hope this helps.
