SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
I am new to Shopify. Have you seen good conversions and sales from video ads and product videos? (I found this one which I thought was simple yet effective ). I want to learn how to get started.
Yes, the right type of video is killing it for all our Facebook clients. Most stores would benefit from doing video ads especially if the products need a little explaining (like that example you provided). Product videos and video ads should be different (with some overlap) given their different audiences and platforms. The Facebook Ad library is a great source of inspiration.
The challenge is unless you know the format that works, you'll struggle to sort through the muck of ads. Starting paying attention to the ads show in your own feed and their engagement to see what's working.
The Facebook Ad Library is such a genius resource. I am humbled to admit that I didn't know about it 🙂 Thanks. I love the filters (though I wish it had a filter to see ads by type (image/text/video)
It is good advice to document lessons from the feed ads we all keep seeing. After a week or so we should have enough learning of format/performance and messaging. Thanks for the actionable advice!
Hey @TejR !
Video ads are an absolute must, not just good to have.
A decent software for easily creating videos for your ads is called Clipman.
You will find pre made templated and you have to do is import your content and text and it will create the end result.
Other ways to get some inspiration for what's currently working on Facebook ads, is to use the Facebook transparency tool and see what competitors are using.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Panos
Hey there,
I happen to work for a shopify store. When we started our conversion rate was low, and we tried different tactics to boost it up a little. The one that worked for us was Video Marketing. Here are some quick stats that we able to gather in a very short span on time.
There’s no need to wonder about the benefits of video marketing for business. It’s definitely worth it, and you don’t have to take video marketers’ word for it, either. The tool that we happen to use at our store is Octovid.
Videos are, without a doubt, one of the best content formats to engage with your audience. I wasn’t aware of how effective they actually are until I changed my Facebook ad creative from images to videos. And trust me, this small tweak skyrocketed the engagement on the ad.
Thanks to the Facebook ads library, the number of video references I get from it is just insane.
Also, it doesn’t really end there when it comes to video marketing, I have observed brands using the product review videos as well for marketing. They simply upload all their positive product reviews posted by customers across channels like Instagram and YouTube on their product page. This is helpful for someone who’s visiting the store for the first time, the videos make it easier for them to understand the value the products offer.
Brands like Headphone Zone and Axel Glade have been doing an amazing job with product video reviews. In a recent video, where the founder of Headphone Zone was mentioning the tricks they used to increase sales included a product video review. He also mentioned that they use an app called Videowise to fetch all the videos and upload them.
So yeah, if videos are utilized well, they are sure to bring huge success.
