SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
Hiya beautiful people!
Regularly I've been doing freebies in exchange for someone's email address. Until recently - I did this on woocommerce, but now I'm rebuilding my website on Shopify to check all functionalities 🙂 And I really need this one regularly.
So here's the flow:
1. I make an ad about "improve xyz about abc" with button "Click here for free e-book"
2. People click on that link, get into website and are asked to drop their email-address
3. They enter their address and get a link per email "welcome to this email-list and here's your free e-book"
4. Link in email should bring them to a page that is normally not displayed between all the products, but where they can find the e-book since they signed up for it. It should not be visible in normal products for others 🙂
I was checking with my email-marketing if I could drop PDF's in there, but unfortunately not. The previous always did work with Woocom, so I'm pretty sure there must be a workaround for Shopify too, right?
Thanks for checking with me!
Genevieve
@GenevievePool, I got your point.
Once users subscribe to your email list, you will send a page link where they find the E-book to download. But this page is not accessible to the normal users who are not subscribed to your email list.
Correct me if I am wrong.
If I am right, then this is possible with Shopify too.
That's exactly what I need! I've been trying things out now - but I'm not sure if it succeeded. What's your way of doing this then?
Thanks!
I will tag the customers who subscribe to your mailing list, and based on that, I will grant them access to a particular page. Only customers with that specific tag will be able to access your freebie page.
To achieve this it requires some custom development in liquid template.
That's what I've read, but I've read different instructions and I dont want to screw up my hard work done so far haha!
Do you know how to safely implement this?
Yes, I know. And I can implement this in a very easy and safe way.
