SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
Hello Everyone!
I recently launched my Shopify store, Love and Pearl, where I sell high-quality, handmade ladies' clutch bags. Before moving to Shopify, I tested the market by listing my products on Etsy, where I ran £10 ads per day. This led to 10 sales, with each bag priced between £70-£100.
After conducting thorough research on building a trustworthy store, I decided to establish my Shopify site. It’s been two weeks since launch, and I’ve spent £200 on Meta ads, which has brought in around 300 visitors and 20 add-to-cart actions—but only one sale so far.
I’m trying to figure out what might be holding back conversions. If anyone has advice on potential website improvements, ad targeting adjustments, or insights into what might be causing this low conversion rate, I’d really appreciate it!

Thank you in advance!
Hello there @Shahrukh I have had a look at your store and I must say, I am quite impressed with the level of quality on the images in the product gallery.
in terms of what you could do to improve the store even further, I’d suggest adding a section for the latest products as that’s the first category a lot of customers tend to search for.
Add some customer reviews from the previous sales you made before as that will help give the store a more credible outlook.
lastly, you should add links to the accepted methods of payment at the bottom of the homepage as well.
I hope you find these useful!
Hey Shahrukh,

To boost conversions on your site, ensure your product images are high-resolution and showcase different angles, including lifestyle shots. Enhance your product descriptions by highlighting unique features like materials and craftsmanship.
For ads, refine your targeting to focus on women interested in fashion and handmade items, perhaps using interest-based targeting for eco-conscious consumers. Consider retargeting ads to remind visitors about the bags they viewed.
Also, testimonials will be crucial for building trust, especially for a new brand. With Gameball, you can reward customers for leaving honest reviews and posting on social media, which will boost engagement and spread the word about Love and Pearl.

Hey there @Shahrukh , This is Alexis from Akohub's Marketing team. Congratulations on launching Love and Pearl! It sounds like you have a fantastic product. Here are some tips that might help improve conversions:
Ad Targeting - Since Meta ads brought traffic but not conversions, refine your audience.Focus on demographics from your Etsy buyers and consider retargeting those who added to cart but didn’t buy. In this case, you can use Akohub’s Retargeting to reconnect with those who added items to their cart but didn’t complete a purchase, helping you focus on high-intent visitors. Check out our blog to learn more.
Your landing page - It looks elegant and aligns well with the luxury, handcrafted vibe of your products. Here are some suggestions to improve it further:
Integrating a loyalty program - They are becoming more popular these days. It's a great way to encourage repeat purchases and build brand loyalty. When customers know they’ll earn rewards for purchases, they’re more likely to complete their initial transaction and return for future ones. With incentives like points or discounts on future purchases, a loyalty program encourages people to engage more deeply with the brand. Plus, it helps create a stronger emotional connection, leading to better retention rates and an overall increase in lifetime customer value. Hi @Shahrukh,
Here are a few suggestions to boost your store's effectiveness:
Add Social Proof: Import reviews from platforms like Etsy to your Shopify store. This helps build trust and can make potential customers more comfortable with purchasing.
Use Product Recommendations: Try adding curated product recommendations on your homepage using Searchanise Upsell & Marketing (find it in the bio). Right now, the layout feels a bit crowded, which can overwhelm visitors. A simpler design with matching colors and intuitive navigation will improve their experience. Also, consider removing the second video - one is enough to set the tone and make a strong first impression.
Add a Favicon: Including a favicon helps give your site a professional, finished look.
User Testing: Ask friends or relatives who fit your target audience to review your store and provide feedback. If you don’t have anyone in your network, consider hiring individuals to navigate your site and share their insights.
Hope this helps!
Upsellise.
Hi @Shahrukh,
I am from Mageplaza - Shopify solution expert.
I would be glad to review your website and provide feedback on improving its performance. Below are some suggestions to improve your conversion rate
I don’t see your ads so I can’t make detailed recommendations on your landing page. But here are some recommendations from “Databox”. You can check more in this article.
“When CTR is high but the conversion rate is low that indicates a problem with the landing page, which is most commonly due to a lack of effective calls-to-action (CTA) on the page. The solution is to create a clear CTA like a “Buy Now” or “Read More” button. The CTA can be a clickable image overlaid with a small amount of text or a simple button.”
Also, a high cart abandonment rate can be particularly frustrating for your business, especially when you’ve invested heavily in getting people to your site in the first place.
A high cart abandonment rate represents potential customers who chose not to become customers. This is also a reason causing low conversion rates.
Additionally, here are some recommendations regarding the UX/UI of your website:
1. Adding promotional banners
You should add seasonal banners for current promotions or collections (e.g., Summer Sale, Winter Collection) to catch the attention of customers. Here is a reference:
2. Best seller
You should add ATC, or add to the wish list buttons and make the discount label more noticeable to encourage customers to buy your products. Here is a reference:
3. Improve search bar
Improving your search bar functionality by displaying larger images, showing pricing and discounts, and incorporating collection and category search options can help customers quickly locate products, boosting their shopping experience. Here is a useful reference:
I hope my suggestions are helpful, feel free to give me any feedback. Good luck!
