How can I export customer metafields to Excel?

Hi everyone! Wondering if anyone knows how to export customer's Shopify metafields /custom fields to Excel, not just fields.

Sadly, there's no default option for this in Shopify 😕

Which means that you'll need either to ask your developer to get the data via the API or to use a third-party app.

If you're open to using a third-party app, you may want to check out our app - Metafields Guru. Our data export tool can be used to export metafields for any resource type (products, variants, customers, orders, etc.) to a CSV file. Yet another cool thing is that each user gets 1 000 app credits for free, which means that smaller stores with up to 1 000 customers can conduct a data export free of charge.

Our app EZ Exporter can export customer metafields as well along with the rest of the customer data.

You can also export them with order data in case this is something you might also need.

There is no standard way to export the metafield data. However, you can use some third-party apps to export the data. 

In case you want to improve your sales through Google Shopping you can use Metafields to give additional information to google and this can help you reach more search queries. 

You can also use a feed app like the Easy Google Shopping Feed app by AdNAbu, this will help you manage your merchant center feed along with customized suggestions to improve in Google Shopping.
