Improving trust will typically improve conversion rates.

Couple things I quickly noticed that are missing:

- A logo

- An about page
- A blog (not necessary, but shows your site is up to date, relevant, and lets people get a glimpse into your brand's voice)

You could experiment with removing the "245+ happy customers" banner. That may turn some people off because of the scrolling effect but also because 245 is a low number to advertise as your customer base.

Hello Alexanderholand,

Your current conversion rate of 0.49% on full checkout, with 4% reaching checkout and 5% adding items to the cart, indicates that there is significant room for improvement. Typically, the average eCommerce conversion rate is around 1-2%, but this can vary widely depending on the industry, product type, and audience. Here are some strategies to help improve your conversion rate:

  • Checkout Process Optimization: Streamline your checkout process by minimizing the steps to complete a purchase and offering various clear payment options. Currently, your site primarily uses PayPal, which might not suit all customers. Therefore, integrating multiple payment gateways for both local and international users should be a priority. This can make the checkout more user-friendly and accessible.
  • Cart Abandonment Strategies: Implement strategies to reduce cart abandonment. This can include sending reminder emails or notifications to customers who have added items to their cart but haven't completed the purchase. Offering a small discount or free shipping can sometimes nudge them to finalize the sale.
  • Website User Experience: Ensure that your website is easy to navigate, loads quickly, and is mobile-friendly. High-quality images, clear product descriptions, and an easy-to-use interface can enhance the shopping experience and positively impact conversion rates.
  • Customer Reviews and Trust Signals: Highlight customer reviews and ratings more effectively on your site. Since reviews greatly impact buying decisions through social proof, it's important to showcase authentic and valuable feedback. Currently, some reviews on your site appear repetitive. Consider curating and featuring the most insightful and genuine customer reviews to enhance credibility and trust. Additionally, ensure visible trust signals like secure payment badges.
  • Personalization: Utilize personalization techniques such as recommending products based on browsing history or previous purchases. Personalization can make the shopping experience more relevant and engaging for your visitors.
  • Retargeting Campaigns: Implement retargeting campaigns to re-engage visitors who have shown interest in your products but haven’t converted. This can be done through social media ads or email marketing.

Improving conversion rates is often about tweaking and testing multiple aspects of your website and sales funnel to see what resonates best with your audience. It's a continuous process of learning and adapting. So don’t give up and keep going.
