Hello @Paperwitch,

This is Gina from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $6Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot.

The following are some suggestions on how you can boost traffic to your Shopify store while keeping marketing expenses low.

1. Optimize your website for search engines (SEO)
Make sure your website is optimized for search engines by including relevant keywords in your product descriptions, titles, and meta descriptions. Use tools like Google Keyword Planner to identify the right keywords to target.

2. Use social media to drive traffic to your website
Use social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to promote your store and products. Share engaging content, offer discounts and promotions, and use hashtags to increase visibility.

3. Create blogs
Creating blogs on your website is a great way to attract visitors and improve your SEO. Write helpful and informative articles related to your niche, and include links to your products where relevant.

4. Use email marketing to reach out to your subscribers
Use email marketing to promote your products and drive traffic to your website. Build a subscriber list by offering incentives such as discounts or exclusive content.

5. Leverage influencers to share your content
Collaborate with influencers in your niche to promote your products. This can help you reach a wider audience and increase brand awareness.

6. Get involved in online communities and forums
Join online forums and groups related to your niche and participate in discussions. This can help you establish yourself as an expert and drive traffic to your website.

7. Implement referral programs
Encourage your existing customers to refer their friends and family to your store by offering a referral program. This can help you increase your customer base and drive more traffic to your website.

8. Optimize your website for mobile devices
With more and more people accessing the internet on their mobile devices, it's important to ensure your website is optimized for mobile. This can help you reach a wider audience and improve your SEO.

9. Increase your website’s loading speed
To increase your Shopify website's loading speed, you can start by optimizing your images and reducing their file size, minimizing the number of apps and plugins used, and leveraging browser caching.

10. Use call-to-action buttons
Call-to-action (CTA) buttons can be an effective way to drive traffic to your website by encouraging visitors to take a specific action. By using clear and compelling CTAs on your website, such as "Shop Now," "Learn More," or "Subscribe," you can guide your visitors towards a desired action and increase the chances of converting them into customers.

By implementing these tips, you can improve your chances of converting visitors into customers and ultimately growing your business.

I agree with the other advice in this thread, and will only highlight the importance of boosting your domain's DR/DA ratings via correct off-page SEO. So, even if you're implementing paid backlinks and go heavy on do-follow links, you should still mind the type of anchor used.

Overusing exact match or branded anchors and money keywords is also a red flag in google's eyes. The same goes for backlinks anchored on keywords that do not correspond with the target URL (example: a backlink with the anchor "best running shoes for 2023" leading to a blog about the best running shoes for 2022). Such mishaps result in setbacks in the effort ranking higher in SERPs, which is essential for better organic traffic metrics.

Hi @Paperwitch ,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing your question to the Shopify Community.

To gain more insight into your business, are you able to share your store URL and what type of products you sell?

There are several ways to attract customers to your online store. Here are some effective strategies:

  • Making sure your website is user-friendly, easy to navigate, and visually appealing. Ensure that your website is mobile-friendly and loads quickly. You can try viewing your website from a customer's point of view and browsing through different pages on desktop and mobile to identify any pain points.
  • Build an email list and send regular newsletters to your subscribers. You can use email marketing to promote your products and offer exclusive discounts. Check out our resource to learn how to create an email marketing campaign using Shopify Email.
  • Try offering discounts and promotions to your customers to encourage them to make a purchase. You can also try offering free shipping.
  • Optimize your website and Google My Business listing for local search terms to increase your visibility in local search results. Learn more about improving your search engine optimization.
  • Encourage your existing customers to refer their friends and family to your store by offering them discounts or other rewards. Check out our Shopify Blog on how to build a customer referral program.

Lastly, we have an extensive guide to help you drive traffic to your website and increase sales.

I hope this is helpful to you!

Hi @Paperwitch ,

I understand your frustration with not seeing an improvement in traffic and page speed despite making many enhancements. Here are some strategies that can help boost your store's traffic without breaking the bank:

  • Optimize Your Store for SEO: Ensure your website's structure, meta tags, and content are optimized for search engines. This includes using relevant keywords, optimizing image alt texts, and ensuring your site is mobile-friendly.
  • Content Marketing: Regularly publish high-quality, relevant content on your blog to attract and engage your target audience. This can also improve your SEO ranking.
  • Social Media Engagement: Utilize social media platforms to promote your products and content. Engaging with your audience on these platforms can drive traffic back to your store.
  • Email Marketing: Build an email list and send out newsletters with updates, promotions, or helpful content to keep your audience engaged.
  •

SEOPro could significantly aid in this process. It can automate the SEO audit process for your Shopify Products and Collections, identifying key areas for improvement such as missing keywords or optimization opportunities in meta titles and descriptions. With features like bulk optimization, SEOPro makes it easier to apply changes across your store, potentially improving your SEO score and, subsequently, your traffic.

Hi @Paperwitch,

I’m Bart from Adeagle app helping Shopify stores acquire traffic from similar shops and niche websites and apps.

Here are some tips that we give to our clients when they are struggling with the traffic at the beginning and they don't want to break a bank:

  1. Write High-Quality Content: Start a blog on your Shopify store. Write informative, engaging articles related to your products, industry trends, and customer pain points. Share these articles on social media and relevant forums. Adeagle can assist you in creating targeted marketing campaigns based on this content.

  2. Leverage Social Media: Use platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest to showcase your products. Post regularly, engage with your audience, and run targeted ads.

  3. Collaborate with Influencers: Identify influencers or bloggers in your niche. Reach out to them and propose collaborations. Influencers can introduce your products to their followers, driving traffic to your store. Adeagle’s retargeting features can help you stay top-of-mind with these new visitors.

  4. Optimize Your Product Pages: Ensure your product descriptions are clear, concise, and persuasive. Use high-quality images and optimize your product pages for search engines.

  5. Participate in Online Communities: Join forums, Facebook groups, and other online communities related to your niche. Answer questions, provide value, and subtly mention your store when relevant. Adeagle can target users who are actively researching products in your category.

  6. Run Targeted Ads: Adeagle’s AI-powered ad optimization can display your ads to users who are already shopping online. These users are more likely to convert. Set up your campaigns once, and let them run on autopilot.

  7. Traffic Exchange Option: Consider joining the traffic exchange. By displaying ads, you’ll earn impressions for your own products. It’s a win-win situation.

In the end, it's important to be consistent and to remember that this is a long game 🙂
