How can I optimize SEO for my DIY product gallery page?

Hi

I have a shop site selling DIY products and i want to add a gallery page to show off installations so they wont have a price attached.

I have figured out a way to do this by pasting images into a page as a list and adding a URL link behind each one to get to that specific product.

I am concerned about the SEO aspect - as if i have 50 installations i am potentially missing out on 50 pages worth of meta, keywords , description etc etc as it will just be a single page.= with ALT Tags

Before i start doing it this way can anyone offer any advice?

thanks

Vicki

Hi @bingleyfencing

For SEO, creating individual pages for each installation could help capture more keyword opportunities, boost your ranking potential, and allow for more detailed metadata (title tags, meta descriptions). However, if that’s too much effort, here are some tips:

  1. Image Alt Tags: Use descriptive, keyword-rich alt text for each image.
  2. Schema Markup: Add image schema to improve search visibility.
  3. Page Structure: Use structured data and optimize the main gallery page with relevant keywords.
  4. Lazy Loading: Ensure images don’t slow down page load time.
  5. Internal Links: Link from relevant product pages back to this gallery.

Creating separate pages is best for full SEO potential, but these tips can help optimize a single gallery page.

If you have other questions, I am willing to answer them more.

Best regards,

Daisy
