I want to provide my shopify feed to AWIN
I do not want to use an app
I alreay have google shopping but cant work out how to obtain the feed
And i saw the post below but cant work out what to do
To access the product feed URL for your store, you'll just need to append .atom to your collection URL. You can obtain the feed for all of the products in your store, or for only certain collections. For example,
yourstorename.com/collections/all.atom
yourstorename.com/collections/collectionname.atom
Ive attached a screenshot of what AWIN need - can anyone help ? Please ?
Thanks in advance
Hi there,
I see what you're saying.. its easy to generate and serve that .atom format from Shopify, it is a form of .xml and AWIN do accept that format
But I dont think that is going to be accepted
AWIN accept XML but it needs to be their format https://wiki.awin.com/index.php/Advertiser_XML_DTD_1.4_File_Format
You could try it by choosing the transfer method as HTTP(s) the url being the yourstorename.com/collections/all.atom & the format XML
But id not be confident that this would work
Thanks for this, but its not worked 😞
I'd have shocked if it had to be honest. That way of displaying a 'feed' of data i.e. adding the .atom to a collection URL is really just a structured way of displaying whats on the page
Whereas feeds for generating adverts from your product catalogue really need more that this, meta data, shipping/ fulfilment info, stock for availbility etc
This is why AWIN specify a format/ a minimum data requirement from a feed.
I'll be upfront, I'm talking from the perspective of an app owner, I run Feed Donkey from the app store. apps.shopify.com/feed-donkey
I know in your first message you said you dont want an app, but I think if you're wanting to fulfil the specification for AWIN, the only option is some sort of application - either app store or private custom coded. Something that takes your store data and re-structures it into the AWIN language.
I can make it easy for you, and the trying with us zero cost, but obviously I say this very tentatively as you have said you dont want this option.
The only other path I'd consider viable is something built in a no-code maker platform like Make.com or Zapier, but this would need some expertise and time to construct no doubt.
