How can I reach live customer support at Shopify after a TikTok ad issue?

Shopify has made it extremely difficult to interact with a LIVE person!! Their support email disabled and every embedded link loops you to a help center which is nothing but an overwhelming amount of videos and more links!

I setup a TikTok ad via Shopify marketing, within 3 hours, TikTok never ran the Ad, invoice my account it’s daily maximum $50 and paused the ad stating to add more funds!

Absolutely not! I want my $50 back -

DO NOT RUN TIK TOK ADS THEY ARE A SCAM!!

How do I talk with a HUMAN at Shopify?!

Hey! Oh gosh, I'm really sorry to hear about your experience! I work with ecommerce stores every day, helping them grow with Meta, TikTok, Google Ads and Email Marketing and one thing I can say on this problem, is that if you are looking to run ad campaigns on social media for your store, you should do that through the ads managers on TikTok or Meta, not a third party app.

Social media platforms release regular updates and some of the third party apps do not keep up.

I think you have only 2 options here:

- speak to support via chat (the guys at Shopify or very good a replying and personally I had a very good experience with their customer service)

- as Soleseriouss said - Tweet their accounts - mainly the Shopify support one, here's the link - https://twitter.com/ShopifySupport

Good luck! I hope you'll get this resolved!

Hi @ShopConfident

If you want to talk to a real human staff from Shopify, I recommend you use the live chat channel instead of email.

  1. Visit the Shopify contact page > Click Contact support
  2. Choose the topic you need help > Choose Chat with us.

By the way, I think your email got missed if you emailed them via support@shopify.com. In your case, perhaps you might want to try emailing them at billing-support@shopify.com instead.

Or, if you want, you can contact Shopify staff via phone. Just follow the same steps above, but choose Request a callback instead.

And in case you need it, here are the phone numbers of Shopify staff you can try based on your country:

  • United States: 1-888-746-7439
  • United Kingdom: 0800-808-5233
  • New Zealand: 07-788-6026
  • Australia: 03-8400-4750
  • India: 000-800-100-5786
  • Malaysia: 1800-80-6678
  • Indonesia: 007-803-651-0008
  • Singapore: 800-181-1121

I hope that this helps!

I do not have tiktok ad problem, but shopify does not have support center with live person only virtual that keeps answering same question and wastes time. I had several issues and no help from them.  I have 4 websites and one that i have been paying for 1 year that cannot connect to my domain.
