How should I structure Google Ads for product variations and conversion tracking?

Hello Shopify Community,

 

I couldn't find the answers to these questions on Google, so I though that someone here can help me 😊

• If we have product with different variations (different quantity in each variation), is it recommended to create one Performance Max campaign for both variations or separate campaigns for each variation? What are benefits of one and another way?

• If we sell two different products, should we use one purchase conversion tracking or two separate purchase conversion trackings for each different product?

• How data from conversions is stored and used: on account level, campaign level or product ID level?

This is an accepted solution.

I would not separate variations into different P Max campaigns. It goes against anything that we're seeing working on client accounts.

Use one purchase tracking code for your account.

Conversion data is used based on what's selected at the campaign level.
