SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
Hi, I was hoping to receive a few suggestions on the best way to proceed with testing new ads in a facebook campaign. Are you better off creating new ad sets for testing and moving some of the existing budget over or adding new ads under an existing ad set and leaving the budget as is?
Thanks, Brandon
I would prefer A/B testing by creating a new campaign under an existing ad set.

Hello @bthorne1,

When testing new ads in a Facebook campaign for your Shopify store, it's generally best to create new ad sets for testing rather than adding new ads under an existing ad set. Here's why.
1. Isolating variables
By creating new ad sets for testing, you can isolate variables and see how each ad set performs on its own. This can help you determine which variables (such as the target audience or the ad creative) are contributing to the success or failure of your campaigns.
2. Budget allocation
Creating new ad sets for testing allows you to allocate specific budgets to each test, rather than having to split a budget between existing ads and new tests. This can help ensure that you have enough budget to properly test each variable.
3. Simplifying analysis
When you create new ad sets for testing, you can easily compare the performance of each ad set to each other, rather than having to analyze the performance of multiple ads within a single ad set.
That being said, it's important to ensure that you have enough data before making any conclusions about the performance of your ads. You may need to let your ads run for several days or even weeks before making any changes to your campaign.
Also, be sure to use Facebook's ad testing features, such as split testing and dynamic creative testing, to help you optimize your ads and get the best possible results.
