Hey folks!
I hope you all are well. With the big upcoming iOS attribution change, I need some help from you all - the Shopify community. Any tips on configuring the Facebook ad events to properly track activities? Currently, only my “Add to Cart” button I can configure. I tried setting up the “Initiate Checkout” button in the Events Manager, but it’s not translating to the conversion event option in the ad setup. Moreover, I don't have the slightest idea on how to configure a purchase button (Pay Now). I am curious if there a unique URL I should be using instead - because the Pay Now button can't be accessed using the events manager tracking tool??? I am using Facebook app add-on in my shopify backend to transmit pixel events. All value add feedback will be greatly appreciated.
FB ad setup conversion tracking options. Only Add to Cart is working.
Storefront tracked events. I have the Checkout button tracked as well.
Hi @KOHENE,
To set up pixel for any event, first I'd look into Facebook Specifications for Standard Event: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/402791146561655
For example, if you want to set up Initiate Checkout event, the standard code is: fbq('track', 'InitiateCheckout');
Let me know if my question is of any help - cheers 😄
