How to fix %20 issue in canonical URL on ecommerce sites?

Recently someone linked to a collection page of ours and they must have left a space in the link and the page they linked to was our collection page but with %20 at the end of the url. 

I noticed that this collection page was ranking in google and the url that was in google had a %20 in it. I checked the canon and yes the collection page with the %20 is stating that it is it's own canon. 

I checked some other shopify sites and i can see that this is an issue for them as well.

I have tried setting up a redirect but shopify is not picking it up and it's not redirecting. 


Has anyone seen this issue before? What work around are there for this?

In your link you have given space like:

https://xyz .com


so it Shows the canonical %20
if you remove the gap into your link so.
it will be settled automatically.

I know there's a space. I can't remove the space. Someone linked to me with the space. I don't know the website that linked to me with the space. I can reach out and ask them to remove the space but there's a good chance they won't even write back. 

I want to know why the %20 is saying it's canon.

Can I get your Store Url?

or It occur while creating the product category.

if you remove %20 then it never show again

At the collection of bose-headphones has gap. 
by mistake may be white space will be  given.
If you remove the whitespace from the collection then it would be sort out.

Omg.
I'm aware this issue is created because there was a space. 
I'm aware if i remove the space the issue will go away. 

If you actually read my question you would know this. 

I would LOVE to remove the space. I can't because SOMEONE ELSE ON A DIFFERENT WEBSITE linked to my website WITH THE SPACE and now the page WITH THE %20 is ranking in search because the %20 states that it is it's own canonical.
