I'm having troubles making out of stock product on my product page unclickable. is anyone available to help?
Hey @topmost1.
I saw your post and wanted to reach out and help you with this. Before we dive in, may I ask if you would like to know how to make out of stock products un-clickable or if you have set this up already and are having issues with it? If so, can you give me some more details on how you set this up - it might have been with some code or by use of an app.
Usually this is set up using your theme, if you are using a third-party theme then your best would be to contact the theme developers for assistance. Alternatively, if you are using an app listed on our app store, our support team can help you get in touch with the app developers too.
The more details you can provide the better I can help you!
Looking forward to your response.

I will like to know exactly how to make the out of stack product unclickable ma'am.
Thanks for getting back to me @topmost1!
This can be achieved at a theme level, with an app or with the help of a Shopify Expert. Just to note, with the requested feature described as is, making out of stock items unclickable may lead to more customers reaching out. Although it is achievable, it would entail some complex custom theme coding. If you are using a third-party theme, you can reach out to the developers of your theme and request assistance in implementing this feature. If it is the case you are using a Shopify supported theme, then our theme support team may be able to implement such a customization request using some design time. Merchants with a Shopify supported theme get sixty minutes of complimentary design time with us. Should you be interested in using some design time to do this, you can contact our support team here by logging into your store. We'd just need to check and see if this is within their scope of the types of customizations they can undertake.
Another option for you and perhaps a more customer friendly one would be to hide the out-of-stock product using an app, you could also allow them to preorder the product too if you wanted. Check out our app store for both options below:
Let me know if you have any other questions about this, happy to help.
