How to manage popup

Hello, 

i currently have selected a theme for my store that i like -still didn't purchase- . it has a newsletter popup built into it which is what i want.

but here's the proplom,

if i buy this theme will i be able to manage the pop up with the futures already available on Shopify, or will i need to subscribe to a marketing service or an app to manage the popup?

i want to use the popup to tell customers that "if they sign up to the newsletter they will receive 10% discount on there first purchase"
