How to move to Google Analytics 4 while still retaining Enhanced Ecommerce?

I can't just replace UA-XXXXXX code with G-XXXXX in Preferences because Shopify sees it as invalid. Considering that in July the old Universal Analytics will be gone, I need to make a switch to the new analytics. But I don't want to abandon Enhanced Ecommerce, because it would mean having to set it up manually.
