How to start a proper affiliate programm?

I have a shop for premium motivational art on canvas => www.artofsingularity.com

Products price range from 59$ to 699$.

I recently did an Adwords campaign, which got me my first sale, but the costs were too high compared. And even with professional help, it seemed like a lot of guessing and hoping. And I suspect there is much more money needed to find the relevant target group, relevant keywords and so on to bring in a proper ROI.

That's why I would like to give Affiliate marketing a shot. I had a first glimpse at it a while ago, but I remember I struggled with the terms, proper commission and other stuff. Google gives a lot about Shopifys own affiliate program, but I did not find much about starting your own.

I am looking for a guide on how to tackle this properly. Or your experience, what worked for you what not? Which App to use, what commission model, how to acquire affiliates? Everything about how you made it work.

There's an app that you can install on your Shopify, it's called "Affiliatly". It works great, easy to understand and it has a 30 days free trial.

You just have to send the link to the people who want to register as an affiliate.

This is Dallas from the Social Care Team. That's a great question and I totally understand what you mean. When it comes to creating ads it can be really tough to get it up and running off the ground.

Depending on what you're selling affiliate marketing might just be the right thing for you. May I ask what you're selling? 

Either way, I have gathered some information that might be of great use to you. This link here gives a bit more detail about affiliate marketing to explain what it is and how it works. 

This guide here was made for 2018, but it is still relevant to today. However, with that said if you are just going to look at one of the links that I give you then read over this one. It's the complete guide to how you can set up your affiliate marketing campaign and I really think that it' be useful for you to go through. It really takes a deep dive into all of the questions that you have asked me and it will be the most efficient way to set up your campaign.

As far as apps are concerned you'll want to look into Refersion, Affiliatly, and Enlisty. All of these apps are shared in the guide that I gave above as well so you can see a list of the top 5 apps. 

When it comes to choosing affiliates it'll really come down to what you're selling, who you are marketing to and what you're hoping to achieve with your campaign. That would be were giving me more information about your store and what you're doing would be really helpful. The main forms of marketing to choose from are Email Marketing and Social Media Marketing. As you probably have seen, Social Media Affiliate Marketing is BOOMING right now.

Gretta is amazing when it comes to mastering Instagram and she has a section specifically dedicated to working with Instagram Influencers. Even if you don't listen to the entire thing, I really do recommend that you listen to that part. I went through it myself and it was helpful! 

When I know more about what you're selling I'll be able to give you a better idea of a commission model, however, this is a blog post from one of the apps that I gave above on how they recommend setting up the pricing structure and how to make sure that it is working the best way that it can for you. 

Then as far as acquiring affiliates there are some apps that can be useful for this, but since there are so many different ways I am just going to give you a link to this blog which has all of the options and apps and resources laid out in a really simple and easy to read format. 

If you 're able to answer some of the questions that I gave above I'd love to help you even further, but at the moment I think this's a lot of information and I don't want to give you information overload.
