My store https://artisticcreatives.com gets people to come by, look around a bit, and then leave. I am not sure why this is. I have been open about 2 weeks and nobody has made it to putting anything into a cart, I'm getting traffic. Organic and otherwise, Im running ads on Facebook and Instagram. Is the problem with form/function? Something important missing? Too much going on? Any ideas are welcome.

Hello @ArtisticCreatives, this is Alexis from Akohub! We’ve worked with all types of brands on Shopify, and I wanted to share a few tips that might help boost conversions for your store. 😊
I saw that you did ads, but have you tried retargeting ads? It helps to bring back visitors who didn't convert the first time around. Show them the products they viewed along with a small discount as this can be super effective for turning “maybe” into “yes!” If you’re looking for an all-in-one solution, our app, Ako Retargeting, combines retargeting with loyalty and CRM features, helping you bring in new customers and keep them coming back.
Plus, a loyalty program can also be a game-changer for your store by rewarding repeat customers and boosting overall engagement. It’s a simple way to turn one-time buyers into loyal fans who keep coming back and spreading the word! As for the homepage, it has a great look! However, it might help to feature a few top products with bold CTAs like “Limited Stock” or “Best Sellers” to add a bit of urgency. Also, try simplifying the navigation by keeping your categories organized and easy to find, so users can get to what they’re looking for without any friction.
On the product pages, make sure the descriptions are really engaging. Go beyond the basics and highlight benefits, quality, and unique aspects of each item. This is especially important for premium designs where customers want to know they’re getting something special. Adding a “Frequently Bought Together” or “Customers Also Viewed” section is another great way to encourage browsing and boost cart value, pairing a popular design with a matching decor item could work well here!
Also, to build trust, try adding badges like “30-Day Money-Back Guarantee” or “100% Secure Checkout” near the “Add to Cart” button. This can make first-time buyers feel more comfortable and confident in their purchase. Finally, make sure any discounts are easy to see! Using phrases like “15% off today!” or “Only a few left!” can help create that sense of urgency that pushes people to buy now instead of later.
We noticed you have a discount pop-up, which is a great start! If you want to take it further, check out our blog on combining retargeting with loyalty programs to maximize customer retention. Let us know if you need any more tips, and best of luck with your store! 😊
Hi,
Your site might be suffering because users find navigating through your products cumbersome.
I would ask that you consider making adjustments like adding collections on the homepage or featuring specific product lines prominently to make navigation more straightforward and engaging for visitors, as this could help increase conversion rates
the menu up on top doesn't work well enough? is it just the layout then? or is there more I can do? because the site has all sorts of issues on search console too. as an aside, I'm really quite new to this whole thing.
Hey Artcreatives!
Heddy from Gameball: Loyalty Program & VIP here!
It sounds like you’re getting decent traffic, which is a great start! However, if visitors are leaving without adding items to their cart, there may be a few factors at play. First, consider simplifying your website's layout and reducing clutter to improve navigation. Ensure your product images are high-quality and your descriptions are engaging and informative. Highlighting customer reviews can build trust, and with Gameball, you can reward customers for leaving reviews, which may encourage purchases.
Let me know if you need more specific tips!
Hello there @artcreatives I would suggest you make more categories on the homepage such as best sellers, trending, etc to make navigation much easier for your customers. You could also add a “our story” section to shed more light on the background of your store and its missions, objectives, mottos, etc. This could help it appeal more to certain types of customers.
I hope you find these a bit helpful!
