I feel like this is such a dumb question but I am having a problem changing the product attributes such as "brand" and "gtin" for google merchant - Ultimately I am trying to fix the error saying I don't have valid gtins/isbns on google merchant. This is because I sell antique and vintage items that don't have them. I've looked up the answer to these questions, but the video is outdated on the one from 2022, and I can't figure out how to change the attributes. Do I do this in my shopify store or on google? Where are these fields? Is there an updated video that shows how to change the rules on google merchant?
Hello @vintagesheetgrl,
This is Gina from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $7Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot.
You can change the product attributes such as "brand" and "gtin" for Google Merchant by following these steps:
1. Log in to your Google Merchant Center account.
2. Go to Products > All products.
3. For each product, you can edit the following attributes:
Brand : The brand name of the product.
GTIN : The Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) of the product.
ISBN : The International Standard Book Number (ISBN) of the product.
4. For items without GTINs, you can use the "identifier_exists" attribute and set it to "FALSE" to indicate that your products don't have standard identifiers.
As for finding an updated video guide, I recommend checking the official Shopify and Google Merchant Center documentation and tutorials. These resources are usually kept up to date and can provide step-by-step guidance for specific tasks.

Hi,
I have an online store on shopify. I need your help to fix issues on my google merchant account. I have attached screen shot for your review. Please check and confirm me.
Thank you
If you are selling custom products and do not have identifiers such as the GTIN/Barcode or Brand, you can leave the spaces empty. You can also do the setup manually in the Google merchant center. However, to make it easier, you can use our app, Nabu for the Google Shopping feed and select the "identifier exists=no." We will not send any identifiers to the feed, and Google will understand that you are selling custom products.
