Hey everyone,

I’m m facing a problem and I really hope that there is someone that can help me !

I have created my branding clothes on the concept of mixing vangogh and the streetwear, I know it may sound weird but people seemed to like it. So I opened my website with Shopify and I created an Instagram account. But 0 sales... I can’t understand why, I added all kind of applications that take care of the abandoned charts for exemple, but it doesn’t work a lot because I don’t have abandoned cart... I don’t know what I should do. That’s why I’m here to ask if someone has ever been in the same situation and if you have any advice that can help me.

Thank you for reading, and I hope I’ll have some answers.

Hi Téano,

Nick here from Shopify.

Would you be able to link the website which you are talking about in the post, please? ? I took a look at the one you have linked in your profile and it is still password protected. Would be glad to take a peek at it for you and make some suggestions.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Nick

Hi Téano,

Thanks for adding the link. I took a look at the store for you. First of all congrats on building what you have so far and launching, it looks like you've put a lot of work in. There are a few things I noticed which you could alter/ improve on. Let's take a look at them below:

  • I saw you consolidated the About Us page and Contact Us page. Having a standout About Us page is something which a lot of visitors like to read. Could be worth breaking these up to add more trust to the site.
  • I did notice there was a watermark on a lot of the photos with your products in them. I would strongly recommend finding a way to remove it if you can. Something like this could easily put a potential site visitor off of following through on the purchasing process.
  • I saw you started an Instagram and it's going quite well. This is something I would encourage you to keep working on. Organic Instagram engagement without making a hard sell is something you can work on to leverage and build an audience who will then naturally check out your website. A top Shopify Expert recently did a podcast about this and had a guest who is a successful store owner who used this method effectively. You can listen to it here

Hope these give you some tips and direction moving forward.

All the best, Nick
