• Log in to your Shopify admin panel.
• Go to Apps > Search for Google & YouTube.
• Install and activate the Google & YouTube app.
• Follow the instructions to connect your Shopify store with your Google Ads account.

Then

• Login to your Google Ads account.
• Click on Tools & Settings > Audience Manager.
• Click on Customer lists.
• Click on the Plus sign (+) and choose Customer Match.
• Upload a customer list containing data like email addresses or phone numbers. This data needs to match the information customers use on your Shopify store.
• Make sure to follow Google's privacy guidelines when collecting and uploading customer data.

Once the customer list is uploaded, you can create separate audiences:

• Use filters within your Customer Match list to create an audience of new customers. You can filter for customers who haven't made any purchases before a specific date.
• Filter your Customer Match list to include all customers except those identified as new in the previous step.

Then Create Campaigns Targeting New or Returning Customers:

• In your Google Ads campaigns, you can target specific audiences created from your Customer Match list. This allows you to tailor your ad messaging and budget allocation for new vs. returning customers.
