If I will switch theme will it affect my SEO or how much will it affect?

I am planning to upgrade our theme to the one using JSON or the Shopify Online 2.0 version. We are still using the old one because I am afraid it can affect drastically our SEO. I wanted to switch to the newer one because our old one is very slow even with how hard I optimize it. I am planning to switch to the free Dawn one because I have modified and used it already in our different alt language store.
