Hi
i want to know if someone is using right now in background images on google shopping
when im saying background i dont mean the regular edited thing i mean for the "lifestyle background" and (and its important) they dont really have some product beside it so.........
ty
Any text, logos, branding or watermarks are not allowed. More info: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/6324350
Images should be of the product itself, ie what is sold and have a solid white background.
Or im stupid or google is stupid one of the 2
check this quote pls (Regard the lifestyle background)
"Photoshopped background
The following is not allowed:
Images with photoshopped backgrounds that weren’t a part of the original photographic image"
so you see its like confusing
In certain scenarios backgrounds don't get disapproved, but this is case by case and depends on niche.
For example a model is generally not allowed but is allowed for apparel.
My recommendation, don't try to push too far into the grey area as then the likelihood of getting suspended is higher.
my products are jewelry
my feeling is google put some rules and go away i really can't understand them
and i think maybe its regard as well to the spending on the account maybe cause im a beginner and this kind of "allowing" is for bigger spending account
and one more thing if i got a suspension from google ads as well its cause my suspension on the merchant center-right?(the support on google really dont know)
tty
And there is a chance i got the suspension on google cause my shipping weight is 0 oz? or it's not relevant and google dont really look on it
cause for real i dont have any clue what will be the shipping weight and the 0oz its for not make some conflict on shopify shipping cost and more im sure you know on this stuff already (im asking cause in the past it wasn't an issue but maybe right now it is i just want to know where i got the suspension from ,ty)
You need to check the suspension reason, I would not know without looking into the account.
Generally having wrong shipping weights and if pricing is based on weights, it would disapprove the products, but not suspend the account.
Yes Google puts up policies, and you need to figure out by yourself how to do it all. That is because Google is mainly a self serve business. Especially Google Ads and Google Merchant Center.
I recommend you study up, here is a great website: https://skillshop.withgoogle.com/
Hi!
I am having a similar issue with my google ads images.
Some are approved and some arent but we cant distinguish the difference.
All our products have badges on them. Is there a workaround to make them all sync?
Product images, can not have any badges and can only show the product itself, policy: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/6324350
The workaround, use images that have no badges.
