SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
Hi there, I had roughly 800 images indexed by Google but noticed that from time to time the number of indexed images would go down to zero for one day and then up again. I thought that is just how Google does things. Then at the beginning of March the same happened, the number of indexed images went down to zero but this time, it didn't get back up the next day. It seems now the number of indexed images only increases very slowly over time. See attached image.
Does anyone know what's going on? Thank you.

It seems your alt text has very long. That's why the remaining images are not indexed.
My recommendation is make shorter and catchy the image caption.
Hi there, I shortened the alt text but Google is still not indexing my images. Any other idea? Thanks, Winfried
I guess you need to re-index your website in Google Webmaster Tools. Let's wait for a few days and see the result.
