SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
Hi,
Even after having the frame of the YouTube video removed from the webpage when the video is played, it still has the video title and the YouTube logo. I would prefer not to have this shown and the video looking neatly embedded on the page from a customer perspective.
I have heard there maybe/is a benefit of ranking better in Google if using YouTube for the webpage video. Being realistic, my brand it's not going to have a big YouTube presence at all. It doesn't need it. It's just to host the video.
Would you tolerate the YouTube video title in the video when it's playing or would you use another free video player? if so, which one?
Thanks very much,
S
Hello @Stephen567,
The easier way to include videos on your website is through Youtube. YouTube web player seems to be the most common solution to embed a video onto a website. Embedding a youtube video will help drive more traffic to your website and win backlinks.
To remove the "Watch on Youtube" from the embedded video you can append controls=0 to the video URL. But still, it will leave a Youtube logo in the video.
<iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/xxxxxxxxxx?controls=0" ></iframe>
Previously, showinfo parameter indicates whether the player should display information like the video title and uploader before the video starts playing. But this parameter is now being deprecated. Following the change, the channel avatar and video title will always display.
Hope this was helpful,
Gina
