Instagram competition failing miserably?

Hi shopify users! Hope you are well.

Wanted to get your advice on how I am currently using my social media marketing. My new clothing brand has just launched and to gain some traction on social media I created a competition to win 3 tshirts if you follow our instagram, tag 2 friends and repost on your own feed. So far I have generated 300 likes but not one comment. Any ideas?

I have also found using a website promotion on Facebook to be very expensive and not effective. I have boosted a Facebook post and again gained 200 likes but no follows or conversion. Are likes good? I would at least prefer follows.

Any help would be golden.

Hey Dave90 Have you tried Google ads campaign?

Not tried Google just yet, am I likely to get more success than social media? And do you recommend including the same content in the google ad?
