Is advertising on FB through Shopify's marketing menu effective?

Does it matter if I advertise to FB on Shopify through the "Marketing" menu or from FB directly?

It's clear to me if running through Shopify is either easier or more effective.

To advertise on FB you will want to use the Facebook Ad Manager to setup and manage your ads.
You will also need to add the FB & Instagram Sales Channel to your Shopify store.
