Is URL optimization safe for SEO rankings?

Hello,

I'm considering optimizing my site's URLs for SEO. Will simply checking the box (to create a URL redirect) when changing the URL protect me from an SEO standpoint? I'm concerned about altering the URLs and potentially affecting the ranking. Is there any strategy to follow? Should I change them all at once over a short period or spread out the changes over several weeks?

Hello. In my opinion, changing the URL is not recommended. Especially those urls that are ranking high.
If you still want to change the url, do a 301 redirect from the old url page to the new url. And check out other articles that link back to the old url and change it to the new url.

What if we have more than 100 URLS? Do we redirect all the URL's mannualy?
