Issue of Google code "over 10% pages no found gtag.js or GTM code"

my ads show the issue "over 10% pages no gtag.js or GTM code".

I checked the theme.liquid file, I set the Google GA4 gtag.js and Ads gtag.js code correctly.

and I checked the Setting>checkouts>additional script, I set the google GA4 gtag.js and Ads gtag.js code correctly, too.

but in the front page.

domain.com/checkouts/c/ORDERID/information

domain.com/checkouts/c/ORDERID/shipping

domain.com/checkouts/c/ORDERID/payment

I can only find the GA4 gtag.js G-ID, but no Ads AW-ID yet.

while in the page domain.com/c/checkouts/c/ORDERID/thankyou.  both GA4 G-ID and Ads AW-ID are founded.

in the others pages, GA4 gtag.js G-ID and Ads AW-ID can be founded.

Is there anyone have this issue? and how you solve this.

Hello @blueslu,

Greetings from the flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $6Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot! I am Gina, and I am here to help.

If you have already checked the theme.liquid file and the additional scripts in the Shopify settings, but still cannot find the Ads AW-ID code on certain pages, there are a few possible reasons for this issue.

1. Customization for specific pages

Shopify may have custom templates or unique codes for certain pages that differ from the main theme.liquid file. Check if there are any custom templates or code snippets specifically related to the checkout, payment, or shipping pages. If so, ensure that you include the Ads AW-ID code in those files as well.

2. App conflict

Third-party apps installed on your Shopify store might be altering the checkout process or interfering with the placement of your code. Disable or temporarily remove any apps associated with tracking or checkout customization, and then verify if the Ads AW-ID code appears correctly on the affected pages.

3. Cache-related issue

Cached versions of your website may not reflect recent code changes. Clear your browser cache or try accessing the checkout pages using a different browser or incognito mode to see if the Ads AW-ID code becomes visible.

4. Theme updates

It's possible that your theme was updated or modified after you added the code. Check the changelog or version history of your theme to ensure that recent updates didn't overwrite or remove your custom code.

Hope this helps.

hi, thank u for ur replying.

it is the Customization for checkouts.

I test another config about Google and find the reason.

At the Shopify Admin Panel> Sale Channel> Google & Youtube,

I connected the GA4 to shopify and there is the G-ID.

and after I disconnecting this link. The G-ID will gone.

As above, in my shopify store plan, the checkouts setting additional scripts will only be seen in order-sccess & thankyou page. while the other checkouts/c/ORDERID/.* (shipping, payment, information) pages will no working.
