Items disapproved in Google Merchant Center Due To Violation Of Shopping Ads Policies

In the Past Year I have been running Google Shopping Ads, enhanced free listing, etc from our Google Merchant Center Account.

In the Past Week i was hit with a Major Issue with no ability to Resolve.

All of my Products at www.olivefromtheraw.com have been disapproved and unable to advertise.

I Spoke with and emailed Google Support.

Here's what one agent wrote:

"Your products are currently disapproved due to our automated policy enforcement system. We're focused on ensuring that policies are enforced accurately; however, in some cases products that should be eligible to run may be incorrectly disapproved. I want to make sure you know that we understand that this is an issue affecting your account, as well as other accounts, and that our technical & engineering teams are diligently working on providing a fix for these sorts of issues. "

"In my experience, I have seen some people have success with submitting the disapproved products with a brand new item ID and description Violation of shopping Ads policy related.

Then re-upload the feed, as to refresh the product in Merchant Center. You may want to attempt this as a potential workaround although I cannot guarantee that it will work in this instance."

With No ability to do a Manuel Review & Google Support saying I had No Issues with my Product or Titles, I tried to submit a new Item ID and Description, which I just duplicated one product in my shopify account and resubmitted.

That has not worked yet (it has been 36 hours) I will call Google tomorrow to possible do a Re-Crawl and attempt to resolves this, but i have little faith.

Does Anyone have any experience resolving this Violation of Ad Policy Issue.

I assumed it possibly referred to the medical references of the product being Healthy and filled with High Polyphenols, but when I submitted the new Item Id, I made sure there were no doctor references.

This is an accepted solution.

I finally Figured out what caused my Violation of Shopping Ads Policy.

It was One Keyword that I was using in the Title or Description.

I figured it out through trial and error.

Through my SEO Product Title and Description i would delete some words that may have triggered the violation. The Feed would automatically submit and within 30 minutes i would know if that would clear up the violation. I kept trying and trying and finally narrowed it down to one word.

No one from Google Support could help or problem solve.

In summary, my specific problem was because of One Keyword.

Hey, I've been there. You need to change the app if you're using the default google channel app. Thanks

Not using the Google app for shopping. I am using a separate app that submits my products to Google Shopping.

Make sure not to change product ID's, this is not recommended, even though Google may suggest this.

Changing ID's is essentially trying to circumvent policy violations. And that is not what you want.

There can be several reasons for reasons, for example:

Using icons in your titles, if these are also submitted in the feed, that is not allowed, reference: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/6324415

The landing page, looks very disorganized, with the different font sizes, colors, spacing etc. Its a landing page style used by a lot of scammers, so I recommend staying away from that style and rebuilding your landing page to be more clean and professional. Google may have also taken manual action against your landing page.

Avoid making any claims and statements. Such as saying its real medicine. Claims and statements need to be removed from both the landing page and your data feed data.

Thank You for your Reply.

I completed your recommendations yesterday and am waiting for a Recrawl to see if it has worked.

In the meantime, Google Support is recommending me to resubmit the product feed.

I am using an app that submits my product feed to google shopping.

I have asked them if this is something they can do, waiting to hear back.

i assumed when i made changes, the product feed would automatically resubmit?

Google support is really not that helpful, and their solutions seem to be like guesses.

What would be my next options if the products are not approved in the next 48 hours?

The next step would be to carefully examine Google's policies and comply. Not only that you should also follow industry standards and have a high trust factor.

There can be 100's of different things you need to fix. Google will not tell you specifics, so the only way to resolve the issue, is by resolving all potential reasons for a suspension. This is what I do for my clients.

Ok. I did not realize having different size Font and Colors, and including the word Medicinal was against policy.

I will comb through again . Thanks
