Keyword for home page only

As a small, sole proprietor, I want my store to come up in the results when people Google my name.  To that end, I would like to add my name as a keyword to the home page.  I do not want to include it in products or blog posts or any of the other components of my site.  I can't find a way to apply keywords in a general sense to the site/homepage.  Can you give me some direction?  Is this even possible?

Thanks,

Elliott

I think the best way to go about this would be to edit the meta title and description of your home page. You can do this by going into the Preferences page (You can find it under Online Store Menu).

Here's the guide on how to do it -> Adding keywords for SEO to your Shopify store

If you are a new store and are not already ranking on google, then I would also suggest you set up a google search console account for your store. This might help you get seen by google faster.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't want my name to appear on the site or in the results that google displays.  In the early days of HTML, you could add keywords to the body tag of a page.  That's the sort of thing I'd like to accomplish.

In that case, I would just remove your name from your website. Or you could add 'NoIndex' to the pages you don't want to show up on google - Block Search Indexing with 'noindex'.

Not sure if that solves your issue.
