SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
Hello! I set up an ecommerce store LovingAdaptedLiving.com which has products for the entire age span for people with disabilities and the elderly so that they can better access their homes and communities. I have no idea how to get the marketing up and going without breaking the small bank I have to get started. Any feedback is welcome. I have had approximately 500 visitors to the site in the past month, but no sales. Pricing appears to be fair, and site navigation and checkout I "think" is running correctly. Open to suggestions!
Generally, without having seen your session recordings, I recommend updating your site to call out what you called out in the post.
What are you selling, for whom, and what do they get from it.
Currently, it looks like a standard dropshipping store. They don't work anymore.
Now you want to call out your ideal customer and their problems.
e.g.
Instead of saying "Browse all products" - You would call out "Never miss your medication again - with our pill box".
Keep in mind, that we don't sell products, we sell solutions to problems.
I just published a free training on this. You can watch it here.
Also, install a service like HotJars. This is going to record your visitors' sessions so you can see exactly what it is that they're doing on your store and why they don't buy.
We then reduce the friction and that alone will drive up sales.
Lastly, for marketing. Here are some pointers:
- Run Meta (Facebook) Ads
- Create a single campaign
- Use "Purchase" as the campaign goal
- Create an Adset with broad targeting (keep USA and english) no other interests
- Select dynamic creative for the adset
- Create an ad following the 3:2:2 formula (3 images, 2 headlines, 2 body descriptions)
- Spend 50% of your purchase price per day until you have spent 2x-3x of the purchase price.
- If no sales, turn it off and create a new ad. - if some sales, add a new ad set with a new dynamic creative ad and try to beat the performance of your previous ad (don't change the budget)
This is honestly everything you need. 🙂
Feel free to reply / message me if you have questions.
Hi there! Your mission is fantastic, and it sounds like your store has a lot of potential. To boost your marketing without breaking the bank, consider focusing on content marketing, such as starting a blog or social media channels that share tips and stories relevant to your audience. Engaging with online communities and forums related to disabilities and elderly care can also help spread the word. Additionally, email marketing can be effective for nurturing your existing visitors. Make sure your site is fully optimized for conversions, with clear calls-to-action and trust signals. Keep up the great work!
I think the idea is to start up small here. The easiest people to reach would probably be family members, partners, guardians/caretakers of your main target audience. You can start with identifying a few that you can and organically marketing your products to them if you can. On a larger scale, e-mail marketing and SEO is probably where you may need to focus more of your energy on but tailor it to specific locations for starters.
If you're looking for apps that can help you increase sales, I recommend BusinessChat.io.
It's a marketing automation software built on WhatsApp API, and they offer free trials for beginner and small stores.
Also, 500 visitors is a small number, so first, you must increase traffic. Paid ads are the go-to solution, but if you don't have a big budget right now, you can start with SEO and try to get your store to rank in search engines.
