I launched my business 09/2020.  I've had decent traffic, shopify shows I'm in the top 5%.  Only 5 sales so far.  I've used FB, IG, Twitter, Pinterest.  I even had a web developer redesign my website. People come to my site but they don't purchase in fact they aren't even adding to cart.  Google suspended my account.  I wasn't sure why until I read in this community that they don't allow drop shipping.  So I'm doomed.  I strongly believe that this is something that should have been disclosed by Shopify.  After all, Google is the largest platform.  Not sure what to do at this point.  I really hate the fact that I'm thinking about closing shop after only 3 months but after 3 months spending over $3000 with no return on my investment I really don't see no other way unless someone can tell me where can I advertise that will bring in the right traffic.  It's really hard for me to believe that people (especially woman) aren't interested in my products.

1. I've reached out to Google several times trying to get an explanation that they refuse to provide.  So, I went looking for answers myself, I read in the Shopify community that Google does not allow drop shipping.  So, then it all made sense, but not really.  I'm still confused.  I never had a chance to even run an ad with Google.

Earlier this week it was Business Practices now today I see it's changed to Misrepresentation.  I am confused and highly offended because my business is 100% legit.  I have all kinds of licenses, i.e., federal, state, county, city, etc.

Hello! Having a business from which we want to make a profit is too little use of sources such as FB, IG, Twitter, Pinteres. A business also needs a good marketing company to develop and make a profit. Traditional sources can lift you up to a certain point, but a company specializing in marketing services can provide greater security, development and sales policy. I say this from my own experience, when I turned to the services of a marketing company, namely HubSpot, I saw good changes after, I think that a good marketing company matters in everything.

Hello!

It would be great to see your website to understand more about what could be improved in order for make customers interested to shop with you. Sometimes the error is not about the products you are selling and the lack of marketing, but the fact that the store does not look trustworthy.

Some option to include to your store if you wish to build trust between your brand and customers are a FAQ page (with overview of return policies, shipping times, etc.) and product description tags that include reviews if possible. Both options are offered by a Shopify app called the HelpCenter App.

It's also important to start making a subscribers list from early on to work on retaining customers. For such cases, SMS marketing can work well.

Hi @gigib1,

If you are a small or medium business, you might have limited resources and budgets. Sometimes they do not even have a dedicated marketing team to promote their business. For this reason, with the marketing strategy, you should spend first priority to find the methods which brings positive results with no risky and low cost. It much better for you at this time. Running ads such as Facebook ads, Instagram ads, Tiktok ads or even Google ads are popular methods to viral your products faster. However, you should consider it because it is not really a potential choice for starters. The reason is that you might cost a lost of money to run for long term. In some specific case, if it don't bring positive traffics for you, you also need to pay fee to maintain them.

So my recommendation for you is Affiliate marketingAffiliate marketing offers a cost-effective and efficient way to drive more traffic to your business and increase profits. As a small business owner, affiliate marketing is a great way to increase your reach and raise brand awareness without breaking the bank. It has low upfront costs, but it helps you build trust through association and can drive traffic to your site.

So what is affiliate marketing?

Affiliate marketing is a marketing model which helps to grow your business faster and stably. This marketing campaign allows you to connect with various affiliates, and then they will use their advertising sources such as social media channels, websites, blogs, etc, to promote your products. You only need to pay affiliate commission whenever a customer makes a purchase via the unique link or coupon associated with their recommendation.

Here are some benefits of affiliate marketing:

1. Make extra income

The main advantage of affiliate marketing is that the income is entirely performance-based. This is because affiliates are only paid a commission when a purchase has taken place. That means if the affiliates have an ineffective campaign, it won’t affect your budget.

The affiliates understand that driving huge traffic of potential customers will help to increase sales conversion. For this reason, the affiliates will spend much effort to build effective social platforms, promotion or boosting posts of your products in a better way to attract customers. The more efficiently they work, the more commission they generate, and the more sales you earn.

With UpPromote: Affiliate Marketing, generating an affiliate program allows you to tap into potential sources of traffic and revenue that you would otherwise not be getting. This is especially true of physical products, for which affiliates can do product review blog posts or videos, for example.

2. Cost-Effectiveness

Affiliate marketing may be the most cost-effective form of advertising since you’re only paying for results. Once you figure out ongoing operating costs, it is fundamentally impossible for your affiliate program to operate at a loss because you know your cost per acquisition from the start.

Affiliate marketing does not need a huge amount to build a customer service team, or running advertising. This campaign helps to mitigate any risks that drive traffic or run social ads with little or no result for your Shopify business, while also ensuring that merchants achieve what they pay for.

3. Promote business brand name

A research reported that 92% of customers trust the recommendations of people, companies or influencers they know. For this reason, working directly with affiliate marketers who then promote your products to their established audience, brings more opportunities and more direct sales. The plus of affiliate marketing is to expand out into new markets that you haven't explored, giving your brand a much stronger online presence.

Not only can affiliates drive sales for you, but they can also boost brand awareness simply by reaching a larger audience and increasing your traffic and exposure. Even if visitors don’t buy anything, they may sign up for your newsletter — that means you’re growing your email list for free and can potentially get a sale by marketing to those visitors in the future. You can even drive offline conversions via something like an in-store voucher through the affiliate program, or you can drive consumers to offline retailers if you don’t sell direct.

4. SEO Value

Publishers (the affiliates) link to your website to send traffic your way. Provided they aren’t spammy, these links are usually beneficial for your off-page SEO efforts, since inbound links are a huge factor in Google’s ranking algorithm.

5. Customer Data

UpPromote: Affiliate Marketing provides you valuable data and insight into how, where and why your customers are buying, which you can then use to make smarter marketing decisions in the future across other channels.

Sounds like a no-brainer, right? Obviously, you want to jump in immediately and add affiliate marketing to your online sales arsenal.

All the bests,

UpPrmote: Affiliate Marketing
