Meta Ad clicks not displaying in Shopify analytics

I've started running ads for my webshop, but they "click on link" metrics on Facebook does not seem to show on Shopify at all. Yesterday I should have gotten about 60 "clicks on link" but like 1-3 show on Shopify. I know that there will always be a discrepancy, but this just feels like I'm not running ads at all.

I've previously set up Facebook ads for two other Shopify stores, and both of them work fine, and my ads for the new shop gets even better results. 
Things that have been done different: I've made collection ads with a collection page on Facebook, and I've made a custom collection in Facebook because the product images would not show when using the default Shopify linked one. But every product has been linked to the correct page, so this should not be an issue..

Should I stop all ads and expect that they're just not working?

I am having similar problems currently as well. The ads manager is showing me 287 clicks but not even a fraction of the clicks show up on shopify. Were you able to solve the problem?

Not quite yet. I was using a cookie bot that I think might have something to do with blocking a lot of the data, so I've installed it and used Shopify's default cookie bot instead. 

Are you using a cookiebot?

I currently use beeclever. I tried turning it of but unfortunately it didn't really help.

I have exactly the same problem as you. 
I did the same ads campaign last December, and at that point, I could track the same number of meta ads. 

But now, it's like nothing. 

what is going on...

It became much better since I deleted a third party cookie popup and switched to shopify's default, so I think this was holding a lot of data back for me.. It's still not perfect but much closer.. could also be a coincidence I guess.. But the third party bot it had like 144 impressions while having 10 "accepted" for analytics which made me wonder

MAYBE this could be the reason.

It seems like the Instagram ad is not working properly. 
The number of clicks does not match with Shopify analysis. 

However, the Facebook ad is working fine so far.
Are you using an Instagram ad? or a facebook ad? or both?

I'm using both, as I'm running advantage+ campaigns. But my analytics are fine after I deleted the third party cookiebot

did anyone get a solution to this? I am having exactly the same issue. Our ads manager shows 200+ clicks in the last 24 hours.

my Shopify shows me less than 10% of that.

we have never had these issues in 4 years.

has anyone got a solution to this?

Hey,

I just informed a Shopify advisor with the same problem. I also see in a third party app that I have traffic on the store but not on Shopify. I gave them also this thread so they can see it's a growing problem, so hope they will clear it.

It became a lot better for me, when my Facebook ads were optimized for sales instead of clicks, because the visitors stay longer. Shopify may have updated their analytics for requiring users to stay for a longer time, before counting as a visitor.
