We run a sports shop where we create shirseys, which requires multiple variants to be connected to one parent product. The parent product remains the same (the front design of the shirt), while the variant images display the back of the shirt (last name, number)
Our issue: on Meta shop, only the back side of the product is being displayed, so our shoppers cannot view the frontside.
Is there a way for shoppers to be able to view both the front side and the back side of the product?
I have reached out to Meta and they believe this is something that would need to be corrected on the Shopify side.
Hi @acook
Facebook/Meta gets your store's product info from the feed. The most important fields for you are image_link & additional_image_link: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/120325381656392?id=725943027795860.
I believe the image_link for your variants currently points to the backside of the shirt and rightly so. To display the front side of the shirt, see if you can send that image as an additional_image_link. This will ensure that meta will display both the front side and backside of the shirt.
A quick way to do so would be to add front-side images to your variant.
You can also try uploading a supplementary feed along with this info to Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/609872007120910
