Microsoft sender email cannot be verified

Hi, has anyone successfully connected their Microsoft email to Shopify? I have been trying with Microsoft and Shopify support for over a month to get my "sender email" to have my domain name. But any emails that go out are from store+85294842132@g.shopifyemail.com, which doesn't have my domain. For more context, I use Microsoft for my company email domain and I switched to Shopify from Squarespace two months ago. Shopify also now owns the domain. I'm at my wit's end with this, please help! Thank you!

Hi @noofahbodycare

To use your Microsoft email with your domain as the sender email in Shopify, follow these steps:

1-Authenticate Your Domain:

  • In Shopify Admin, go to Settings > Domains.
  • Ensure your domain is connected and verified. If Shopify owns your domain, it should already be verified.

2-Set Up SPF and DKIM Records:

  • Log in to your Microsoft domain hosting panel.
  • Add the SPF and DKIM records provided by Shopify. You can find these in Settings > Domains in Shopify.
  • For SPF: Include Shopify's record alongside Microsoft's (v=spf1 include:shops.shopify.com include:spf.protection.outlook.com ~all).

3-Update Sender Email in Shopify:

  • Go to Settings > Notifications.
  • Change the sender email to your desired Microsoft email. Shopify will send a verification email to confirm the new sender email. Complete this step.

4-Verify DNS Changes:

  • After updating DNS records, allow up to 48 hours for propagation.
  • Use a DNS checker tool to confirm the SPF and DKIM records are correctly updated.

If the issue persists, contact Microsoft support to ensure no conflicts with your email domain configuration.

If you have other questions, feel free to ask me.

Best regards,
Daisy
