Hi Emma-

Google only has one of your pages indexed, but you can force a crawl of your site by using Google Search Console (GSC) to see if Google will index more quickly. In GSC, click URL Inspection in the left menu. Enter your domain name and Google will respond telling you the index status. Click the Request Indexing button and Google will put your site in queue to crawl. Since you robots.txt file is not blocking Google, within a couple days this message should go away and Google will start crawling your site again. You can check your index coverage by clicking on Coverage to see what Google has crawled but is blocking based on the robots file.

It should only take a day or two for Google to recrawl and reindex. You can use the report in GSC called coverage to see what is indexed.

In regards to showing up when you search for something like 'web design services' this is highly competitive search. SEO is super complex and there are many, many different techniques to ranking well. But, I would start with the basics and get your page titles and meta descriptions optimized.

Finally I would recommend reading Moz's beginners guide to SEO. It will help you understand the fundamentals and what it takes to drive traffic organically.

Hope that helps!

Steve

Hi Emma-

Only one of your pages is indexed on Google. I am not seeing anything obviously blocking Google from crawling and indexing your site. Have you registered with Google Search Console? If so, you should look for any errors regarding indexing the site. Let me know if you have done this already and I can help with next steps.

Hello Stevelam,

Thank you for your reply, well yes I registered with Google Search Console, I used Shopify before I never had this issue, I mean if the SEO is very bad and the domain name is new and just connected to the store when I google it I find it..., now I have all pages set but the website doesn't appear anywhere on google! I have no idea why, I'll try to look for errors as you suggested and see what I'll come up with 🙂

I think, its too quickly to search your website in Google, You have to build backlinks before it show up in Google.

If your website store is more than a month. I guess your website has already indexed by search engine robots. The effect or result would be take for a few months.

Maybe I should wait more then.

A new site will take some time to appear on Google's search engine, while I find your site content is not yet rich. If you have already signed up for Google Search Console, you should add more content, share on forums, and mxh will help the site to be faster indexed.

Hey Emma,

There are a few steps you should be taking...

1. Check on Google directly.

Type in "site:mystunningwebsite.com" into Google.

If nothing shows up, that means Google hasn't indexed your site

2. Verify & Submit Sitemap to Google search console.

Head to Google Search Console

Navigate to submit sitemap and enter "www.yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml"

They will notify you through email in <24hrs

PS: Shopify help also posted this short video

1. Check on Google directly.

I tested my site on google by typing

site:MYDOMAINNAME.com

And Google says,

Your search - site:www.MYDOMAINNAME.com - did not match any documents.

Suggestions:

  • Make sure all words are spelled correctly.
  • Try different keywords.
  • Try more general keywords.

Tried URL INSPECTION TOOL on google search console and used my domain.

URL is not on Google
This page is not in the index, but not because of an error. See the details below to learn why it wasn't indexed.

I have tried indexing and the URL INSPECTION TOOL keeps repeating the error above.

Therefore Google Is not Indexing my DOMAIN.

I am getting really frustrated because I have submitted my sitemap.xml  on google search console and NOTHING SEEMS TO WORK!

PLEASE HELP

I’m dealing with the exact same thing!!! So frustrating, costing me a lot of business.  Bing sees every page on my site.  Google only sees a few pages and collections on my site but not all individual items.  And I only have like 20 items listed.  I’m about to DITCH SHOPIFY!

I have never had this problem on any other website I have built. My wife has a Shopify site and same problem you and I are having as well.

However I am having issues after everything is paid off. Everytime that I try to log in through the app it will not allow it. It says that my store is inactive on my iphone and when I use the forgot my store option using my computer it says that I do not even have a store and it is really frustrating. Can anyone help me get my store back it is the holidays and I really need help as fast as someone can
