SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
Hello Community members.
I have recently ( about 3 weeks) joined and started my online shop The gift Galore.
But it is even hard for me to find my page in google search. I am trying to promote with a Facebook ad, Twitter ad on a small scale.
Followed all the common SEO practices like adding short and long keywords etc. But nothing seems to help.
If anyone can just have a look and tell me what are the common mistakes on my site or even general best practices, will really appreciate it.
Regards
Gift Galore.

Hello, @dgiftgalore.
Thank you for reaching out and posting this question!
I've taken a look on Google and I was able to locate your shop on the first page of Google's search results. Depending on how the words were searched, your shop appeared as the first and the 5th (or 8th if including the sub-links of the others) results. That being said, the ranking of websites are based on the traffic or how often they appear, so it will grow over time as more customers visit your website.
Here's what I am seeing when searching thegiftgalore:
Here's what I am seeing when searching the gift galore:
As I didn't have any issues searching for your site nor notice any issues with your search engine optimization (SEO), I think you've done a great job with it. However, if you'd like to learn more or make further improvements, then I'd recommend checking out - 'Moz - The Beginner's Guide to SEO'.
I think you did a great job with your website, and you're definitely on the right track. I think there is an opportunity to showcase more products or collections on your homepage, using the various sections offered by your theme (eg. Featured collection, Collection list. Image with text overlay, etc.). Since you're looking to to promote your website via Facebook, did you prepare a marketing plan for your store yet?
Also, would removing the "Powered by Shopify" message from the footer be something that interests you?

Thank you for your review and suggestions. I added a seo optimization app today and did some editing on product description, metadata and title. Looks like it's helping a bit. I probably need to give more time to appear with common search term instead of direct my store name. I will also add more products on home as you suggested. Thanks again.
Hi
When the site or page is newly published, it takes time to crawl and index.
You have to wait till the page is indexed or submit it in the search console, but it will still take time.
If you've optimized pages, it will be helpful from the SEO perspective. Do some off-page activity on the page to index it quicker.
I hope this helps you 🙂

Your online store is a fairly young site and needs time for traffic to occur. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with the basics of SEO. It will definitely help improve your search results.
Hi there,
This is PageFly - Free Landing Page Builder. Here is my suggestion for your single product store
Before adding keywords, think about 3 questions, including:
(1) What is your target audience and what is their search habits;
(2) Is your website optimized and add new content regularly;
(3) Have you thought about other marketing tactics, for example, Tiktok marketing, Influencer Marketing, Advertising,... to maximize conversions from visitors.
Actually, It would take 2 weeks to 4 weeks for pages from the new site to get indexed on Google. I suggest that you make sure that you already submitted your sitemap, and keep producing more content to build up your topical authority over time.
Regarding Shopify SEO tactics, it can also be categorized in the same three buckets:
SEO is ultimately a long-term investment and it needs months to get your website ranked on google, please keep calm and the result will come along way

P/s: By the way, the holiday season is coming to town. I see that You've got some great products, but you’re worried about how you’re going to attract and convert your customers, right?
Here at PageFly, we truly understand the importance of a good landing page; an importance that is quadrupled during festive times. That's why we have created a collection of pre-built holiday landing page templates that help you quickly start building landing at ease. The free plan is available forever!
I strongly disagree with PageFly. Website builders are usually not optimized properly. Better to invest and build your own online store.
hi @Gamerseo
to discuss what you had said, I would like to separate it into 2 points for a better understanding:
1. Shopify vs your own website (it's not the same actually haha 😉 )
2. Shopify and PageFly
1. Shopify is a fully-hosted e-commerce platform, or SaaS solution, which maintains your store’s files and data in the cloud. You would not need to setup your own server, the eCommerce platform is storing your data for you. That's why for those who are a newbie in the eCommerce market, it's quite easy to get started with Shopify.
Your own website, or Self Hosted E-commerce Platform, can be where your company is responsible for the hosting. That means you would need to setup a server (in the cloud typically) and your store’s files and data would be maintained on that online server. => if you’re an ambitious merchant looking for uniqueness and freedom in customization in the long run, having a custom-built store is a great choice.
Depending on your purpose, Shopify and your own website are both have good sides and bad sides.
2. Shopify and Page Builders?
Think of the situation that once you're trying to create a high quality website, with nice product pages, visual layouts, and basically more than what the average Shopify themes offer, you start looking for options.
So you've got custom page builders like PageFly, Shogun, Layout Hub,..
That said, For Shopify, Themes act as the roof and the foundation of the house. And Shopify page builders can be understood as the worker that helps decorate the house. A Shopify page builder is not a built-in part of a theme, although it influences templates of the theme.
here at PageFly, more than the function of decorating your store, which is ultimately built with the mindset of conversion rate optimization. That's why we continue working on optimizing store speed, store design, also trying to make it easier by making it as much as simple (for those who have zero code-based knowledge) to save their time and resource.
Hope that my answer can better explain your points. PageFly works based on Shopify Theme. Shopify and self-hosted websites are actually different.
