If your looking for free traffic, writing usefull articles about your products is the most effective. It can take between 6 months and a year to see the full effect of your efforts. But if you write good content that is added value for the person needing the information, than it is a good way forward.

If your looking for paid traffic, than I recommend Google Shopping, it's very effective.

The main tip I give people whom are looking to find more traffic, is to find them where the buy intent is high. Just paying to get traffic is not key to success. But paying traffic where the intent is high than that is success.

For example, if I see your ad on Facebook, I'm not intersted in buying, so what you are doing is brand or product awarness, this has a very low to no short term results. This is a very long term indirect strategy.

But if you advertise on a marketplace than you konw they are interested in buying, so the results are much higher.

I personally recommend Google Shopping, just because the results are there. But you do need to have enough margin to be able to afford the costs associated to advertising.

Hope it helps.

I think I have an idea of where your target demographic is. Are you trying to exist in the streetwear/Hypebeast space?

If so, I can help you out with a few pointers. Shoot me an email: njbitoy@gmail.com

Streetwear is such a finnicky market, and it completely depends on your messaging + who you're affiliated with. It's a pretty detailed conversation, so hit me back when you have the time!

you are getting traffic but conversion ratio is less. one reason behind the less conversion rate might be the improperly targeted audience.

so work on it make a list of the targeted audience, age group, location and then work accordingly. people will leave your site if they don't find it useful or relevant. so target less but relevant audience. it will increase the chance of conversions.

or your site may not be optimized according to guidelines. there are many factors that affect conversions.

you should contact the best SEO company or let me know I will suggest you the one who gave a free quotation.

Since you have stated that your website is driving less conversion, I would ask you if your website fulfilling the demand of users to-the-point. Is it attractive enough to drive conversions.

What is your bounce rate? And more important, What is the number of SERP where your site is ranking? Because if it does not rank well, there are less chances for you to catch target audience.

The better option is to approach an SEO Company instead of following DIY SEO to rank high.

I would suggest having a blog and writing at least one article a day.  Google like long articles.  Articles that are about 2000 words.  Use a tool like Semrush or Ahrefs and figure out what keywords are good.  Once you get those keywords come up with articles.  Also, one of the easiest ways to increase your traffic is to get links that your competitor has.  Therefore, you can plug your competitor into a tool called ahrefs and see where they are getting back links and go after those same links.

How your store is currently setup you won't be receiving organic traffic now or in 10 years time. Any SEO plans, audits that say can improve your SEO, can't so don't waste your money.

I appreciate you won't have access to SEO tools which can help you identify what people are searching for. However, you need to step back and see the bigger picture. At the moment you have no pages for organic traffic to land on. For example you sell a few iPhone cases. Where is your collections page for iPhone cases?

You also sell T-Shirts, but no one in the world is going to type "Only The Great Box Black Tee" in Google and find your website.

So my biggest advice for you is, start creating collections pages optimised towards what people may actually search for. Two big challenges you will face is that you sell your own brand products. No one knows your brand so organic search isn't going to work well without a comprehensive SEO strategy and planning in place. Second biggest challenge, you need backlinks (other websites linking to you), however this isn't too important at the moment. Even with a million backlinks you still won't rank for anything.

PS. When i say optimised, I mean naming the page title and main heading tags correctly. i.e. the keywords you want to rank for.

Hi, there! Maggie, a Shopify Partner here 🙂

Please find few tips below that might help you boost your Google rank.

Five Ways to Improve your Site's Ranking (SEO)

Follow these suggestions, and watch your website rise the ranks to the top of search-engine results.

1. Publish Relevant Content

Quality content is the number one driver of your search engine rankings and there is no substitute for great content. Quality content created specifically for your intended user increases site traffic, which improves your site’s authority and relevance.

Identify a keyword phrase for each page. Think about how your reader might search for that specific page (with phrases like “mechanical engineering in Michigan,” “best applied physics program,” or “Michigan Tech degrees”). Then, repeat this phrase several times throughout the page—once or twice in the opening and closing paragraphs, and two to four more times throughout the remaining content.

Don’t forget to use bold, italics, heading tags, and other emphasis tags to highlight keyword phrases, but don’t overdo it.

Never sacrifice good writing for SEO. The best pages are written for the user, not for the search engine.

2. Update Your Content Regularly

You’ve probably noticed that we feel pretty strongly about content. Search engines do, too. Regularly updated content is viewed as one of the best indicators of a site’s relevancy, so be sure to keep it fresh.

3. Metadata

When designing your website, each page contains a space between the <head> tags to insert metadata, or information about the contents of your page. If you have a CMS site, the UMC web team will have pre-populated this data for you:

  • Title Metadata
Title metadata is responsible for the page titles displayed at the top of a browser window. It is the most important metadata on your page. For those with a CMS website, the web team has developed an automated system for creating the meta title for each webpage.
  • Description Metadata
Description metadata is the textual description that a browser will use in your page search return. Think of it as your site’s window display—a concise and appealing description of what is contained within, with the goal of encouraging people to enter.
  • Keyword Metadata
Keyword metadata are the search phrases that people type when they want to find your page. You’ll want to include a variety of phrases. However, don’t get greedy: if your list becomes excessive, the browser may completely ignore the data. As a general rule, try to keep it to about 6-8 phrases with each phrase consisting of 1-4 words. A great example would be "computer science degree."

4. Have a link-worthy site

Focus on creating relevant links within the text. Instead of having “click here” links, try writing out the name of the destination. “Click here” has no search engine value beyond the attached URL, whereas “Michigan Tech Enterprise Program” is rich with keywords and will improve your search engine rankings as well as the ranking of the page you are linking to.

5. Use alt tags

Always describe your visual and video media using alt tags, or alternative text descriptions. They allow search engines to locate your page, which is crucial—especially for those who use text-only browsers.

These are only a few of the many methods for improving your search engine ranking. If you want to learn more, we recommend the following resources:
