SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
Hi all,
I newly setup an online shop on Shopify, we source products from Japan, target customers mainly in UK/EU who love to buy made in Japan products. I have done Ads on google and facebook to boost some traffic, I see some traffic comes in and some of them with 2-5 pages view per session, but so far no sales. It looks the audience browsed the website but decided no good for them.
The web site is www.jpcollection.co.uk .
Would like to get advices from you. Thank you.
Few things you can change right away:
Hello @JPcollection,
I've taken a look at your store and found there are quite a few things which if added can make better conversions.
1. Add 'New Arrivals' section to help customers keep updated on new products.
2. Add product reviews as most of the customers read the review before purchasing the product.
3. It would be nice if product images could be zoomed in / enlarged
4. You can add testimonials on the home page to make the store look more professional.
5. A FAQ would be useful!
6. Try to maintain the same image size while listing all products.
7. Add more specific product title/url in product pages.
Creating the perfect SEO product title/url can help the search engine understand exactly what it is you are selling and drive more traffic to your site. So try to keep the product title/url unique and more specific.
8. Add filters in collection pages to help your visitors narrow in on the specific product they're looking for and find products they might be interested in based on certain features (e.g. size, color, category)
You will get less sales and traffic if your products are not found on Google. When your customers search on Google, your product can be found only if Google has indexed the page. flareAI will show which pages are found on Google, and which are not. flareAI also helps to get your new products found on Google, the world's largest FREE eCommerce sales channel
Hope this was helpful,

Hello! I have carefully checked your store and I can find it's well setup but I think if you put the following into practice that have actually helped some people, will help your store too
1)Your store lack a pop-up form which is very useful in getting conversions because when buyers opt-in they see it as a professional website.
2)Have you optimized your store? This is the best way of getting sales in your store as google will keep ranking it to the right audience through google search not all these paid ads or paid marketplace. this can be done with flareAI
check out these website on google and see how ranked are they by google.
Our organization actually helped them to get to where they are.
I hope this is helpful
Hi @JPcollection, thank you for leaving the store URL so we can check it out and give out some suggestions. Below are some tactics you can consider using:
1. Use one bar only - Make menu & header sticky
Consider using 1 bar only (mostly people use it for sales/ discount notification). Also, your colored store logo seems a little too big compared to the whole site, we suggest you should use a transparent logo (no background) for a better visual, scale it down a little bit. Then, you should make menu bar sticky (fixed in the same position when people scroll down) so visitors can easily navigate on your website.
2. Reduce guiding visitors through too many buttons/ CTA
From the button/ CTA on header image, you should only guide visitors to a specific page (highly recommend All products page, or a landing page made specifically for sales season or a collection you want to focus on), not a hub page where you gather all collections.
3. Add testimonials/ reviews section on homepage
As of now, your website doesn't have testimonial sections while customers tend to look for other previous buyers' experience. Consider adding this section on your storefront, make it in grid/ list or any forms you like. Don't forget to add rating stars and some other information of reviewers (such as country, submitted date of reviews etc) to increase trust. When they land on your website, they might have intentions to buy but they will still look for other buyers' feedback so it's very important.
If you think our comment is of great help, don't forget to give us a Like! Your support would mean a lot to us and motivate us to contribute more to the Shopify community!
Hi @JPcollection , thank you for visiting the Shopify Forum
Congrats on this store, love this japanese products!
I think getting the right audience will be the key. How long have you been running these ads? it takes time for the software to match you with the right audience.
Have you tried other channels? Tik Tok can be great for this type of products.
Also,
1.WHERE IS THE TRAFFIC GOING? if it's going to the homepage it would be a good idea to add some reviews there and a little explanation about the company and the product. Ideally a landing page would be better (Hint, we do them! 🙂
2.RETENTION. If you are paying for Traffic please add a Pop Up Form and welcome series, it is an automated sales person and you are leaving money on the table without it,
Hoped it helped
