Does it require social media followings to join Shopify Affiliate?

For your concern, Shopify doesn't require a specific Social Media followers number to be eligible for their Affiliate program, but on the other side, you still need to have your own established audience. No, it doesn't. As long as you meet the following requirements, you can apply to their affiliate program:

1. You have an active website
2. You have a large-enough audience
3. You produce original content, which includes blogs, courses, tutorial videos, etc.
4. You have experience with Shopify, commerce, and eCommerce platforms.
5. You agree with the Shopify Affiliate Marketing Program Terms

According to the requirements above, you don't need social media followings. However, a strong online presence can be a plus when you apply to their program, increasing your chance of getting approved.
