SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
We have been using the Facebook channel since day 1, primarily to access the ability to sell on Instagram. Being able to sell direct on Instagram was the primary reason for switching to Shopify.
Now our facebook shop is no longer connected to our Shopify store, and we're being told to download the new facebook app from the Shopify App Store or our Instagram sales won't work anymore.
Problem: The permissions we're being asked to give include access to ALL OUR CUSTOMERS' private information. Something that we have agreed NOT to share with 3rd parties. This seems like a disaster waiting to happen, based on FB's history with privacy.
Why is Shopify allowing this kind of breach of information?
