SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
hello everyone
I am a bit desperate (like most of the people) who started drop shipping- e-commerce
I am getting all the clicks
low cpc, high ctr
but absolutely no sales…
how long I need to run ads before I see first sale?what I need to do, what is the strategy here because I am so close to quit everything
here is my store: https://applio.store/
if someone has an idea what to do or maybe they can recommend person who can help me with all this I would really appreciate it
Hi @Anonymous
Your store has strong product photography. High-quality, colorful product images. Clear value proposition ("Pawsitively Fun Toys for Pets!" immediately communicates the store's purpose) and Well-organized product categories ("Toys," "Essentials," and "Gadgets")
But, I see it still has limited trust signals, weak product benefits communication, inconsistent CTA button, missing shipping/returns information.
Hey
omg thank you so much for your feedback
but do you think if I will update these things there is a tini tiny chance I could get a sale?
Hey there, I completely understand how frustrating it can be to see high traffic but no sales—it’s a common challenge, especially when starting in dropshipping. This situation often means there’s a disconnect between your traffic and conversions. First, make sure your product aligns with your target audience. Are you confident that your ads are attracting the right people who are interested in your product? Review your ad targeting to ensure you're reaching an audience that’s likely to buy.
You can also try adding product reviews or testimonials to build credibility.
Lastly, don't give up yet! It might take some fine-tuning of your ads, your targeting, or your store setup before you see those first sales. If you’d like professional input, consider reaching out to a Shopify expert or joining dropshipping Facebook groups for advice and feedback. You've already come this far—sometimes success is just a few adjustments away. Hope this helps, and hang in there!
Hey there Karol @Anonymous I have had a look at your store and to be honest, it looks very well set up. There are only a few suggestions I’d make on how to boost the conversion rate at this time
1) You should set up some discounts, bundle packages, and loyalty reward programs in the store and make them very visible from the homepage.
2) Add in a section for newest arrivals on the homepage.
3) Include a section for FAQs on the homepage. This would help serve as a way to distinguish your store from other competitors in the market.
I wish you the best of luck!
Hi Karol93,
It sounds like you need to run a Google ads audit.
Here's what you can check:
1. Firstly check your search terms report. This report will reveal the actual search queries users are searching up that are trigger your ads. From this report you can identify new keywords to target that are driving traffic. Also it will help you rethink your targeting as well.
2. Check your landing page and the keywords you are targeting. If you have a high CTR and no sales, then it means when users click on your landing page somewhere there seems to be a mismatch with their intent. Take the keywords shown in your search terms report, you will know where exactly the intent mismatch is coming from.
Beyond this, I checked your website and I noticed your product categorization can be better, it kind of confused me. Also you don't have an 'about us' page either (as promer pointed the trust signals of your website are somewhat low). I recommend updating your Instagram & FB page too since you have linked it. Perhaps consider making some tiktoks of your products.
All in all, people are weary of buying things from random websites especially with the rise of scams. Trust signals need to be established.
I also recommend trying out, Nabu For Google Shopping Feed, the app essentially optimizes your product feed for google shopping. Some important features include keyword suggestions from Google Keyword Planner, AI product title suggestions (powered by gpt 4o-mini), product scores (scores given for each attribute in line with Google's standards), and the best part is you can use the same product feeds for Facebook/IG/pinterest/TikTok/Bing/Snapchat ads as well. So essentially you create one product feed, it gets automatically optimized, you can then use the same feed for other ad platforms and the data feed URL generates a feed with the rules and specifications of that ad platform, any updates in your product feed are automatically updated.
Hope this helps!

Hello, @Anonymous
Don’t give up! E-commerce is a long-term journey, and you’ve already taken the first step—building your site and identifying your niche. That’s already a big win! Now, what you need to do is identify problems and work on solving them.
Since you’ve already noticed some unusual data patterns, here are two things you can do to help you get your first sales:
1. Analyze Your Current Data
Look into key metrics like Low CPC & High CTR and figure out the reasons behind them. Here are a few steps you can take:
1.1 Check Your Google Analytics (GA) Data
Go to Google Analytics (GA) and review the Average Engagement Time per Session to see how long visitors stay on your site.
Pay special attention to each page’s Bounce Rate and Engagement Rate. Compare your data with industry benchmarks to identify potential issues.
A good benchmark for e-commerce sites is around 45 seconds to 1.5 minutes.
If your average is under 10 seconds, investigate the following:
✔ Page load speed issues
✔ Irrelevant or misleading traffic sources
✔ Poor content or unclear CTAs
✔ Mobile-friendliness optimization
2. Optimize Your Keywords for Better Targeting
Using the right keywords ensures you reach the right audience. Try organizing them into three tiers:
2.1 Tiered Keyword Strategy
Top Tier: High-volume, competitive keywords that bring organic traffic.
Middle Tier: Medium-competition and long-tail keywords that are easier to rank for.
Bottom Tier: Trending topics and common user pain points combined with your brand name.
Once you’ve identified these keywords, strategically incorporate them into your content.
2.2 Use Keyword Research Tools
To find the best keywords, use tools like:
2.3 Analyze Search Intent & SERP Features
Make sure your keywords align with user intent (Informational, Commercial, etc.).
Check for SERP features (Featured Snippets, People Also Ask, etc.) and see if you can rank for them.
2.4 Competitor & Gap Analysis
Research your competitors—what keywords are they ranking for?
Find opportunities to outperform them by targeting gaps they missed.
2.5 Create a Keyword Mapping Strategy
Assign keywords to specific pages (product pages, blogs, homepage).
Optimize title tags, meta descriptions, and content structure.
2.6 Monitor & Adjust
Track keyword performance using Google Search Console & Google Analytics.
Adjust based on CTR, ranking changes, and user engagement.
The above SEO-related aspects can be handled through SEOAnt: AI SEO Optimizer. Click to install and use the code "SEOAnt-40%OFF" to get 40% off!

My honest feedback is that your site just doesn't look that trustworthy. The brand and the products don't align, the photography isn't consistent with eachother and the products available are a bit random. You're not really solving a problem for pet owners either with these products - they're a nice to have. I would consider your product market fit.
Are you sure the product you’re selling solves a real problem or creates desire?
Is it something people want now or impulsively?
You can make 'nice to have' products work but you need to add social proof or urgency (e.g. UGC content, customer reviews, low stock warnings, countdown timers)
Before spending another dollar on ads:
Redesign your product page to clearly explain:
What it is
Why it’s valuable
Who it’s for
What makes it different
Add social proof: even 2-3 reviews can help.
Add a money-back guarantee and free shipping badge if possible.
Use Urgency: "Only 5 left!", "Sale ends in 2 hours", etc.
For a store to be getting traffic without sales , that means you need competitors analysis
Hello
I totally get how you're feeling—this stage can be really frustrating, but you’re actually in a good spot even if it doesn’t feel like it yet.
If you’re getting clicks with a low CPC and high CTR, that means your ads are doing their job. The issue is most likely on the store side—things like the product page layout, trust elements, pricing, or even how the offer is presented can make a huge difference when it comes to turning visitors into buyers.
I checked out your store (https://applio.store/) and I have a few ideas on what could help. If you’re open to it, I can take a deeper look and walk you through some quick fixes and strategy tips that can actually get things moving.
You’re closer than you think, seriously. Don’t give up just yet.
Let me know if you’d like some help!
Cheers,
Hi [Anonymous],
It's exciting to be on the path of making good profits! However, it's important to remember that success doesn't just come from having a great product—it’s all about how you approach sales. And I’m not just talking about ads.
Have you ever considered hiring a skilled salesperson, someone who specializes in driving organic sales? I know when I first started on the Shopify platform, I struggled with online sales. It wasn’t until I connected with an experienced sales rep who helped me that things truly clicked, He worked is magic through email marketing, and it made all the difference!
If you're open to it, I'd be happy to recommend him to you, I’m confident he can help smooth out your sales process too and bring the results you’re aiming for.
