Posted about this on “feedback on my store” but didn’t get a lot of suggestions.
I made my store about a month ago. . Made no sales with the ads i was purchasing but got about 500 new store visitors and a few abandoned carts. Used shopify’s kit for facebook and adwords as my go to advertisers. Hoping to get some useful suggestions about how to convert sales. Imo i have everything a good site needs but i am probably wrong. Open to the harsh truth so go for ir.
Thank you in advance,

Hi gymknock, same problem here Im new to shopify and i think ive created a semi-professional store I recently made it public on 09/04/20 and have had good success driving traffic 613 online sessions but ive had no activity (searches, add to cart, register email, checkout, purchases) its like they clicked the link by mistake and leave immediately. Im wondering if anyone more experienced might be able to help the website is any feedback is appreciated no matter how bad.

Edit: So ive checked google analytics and its up to 1000 ive spent about €100-150 on ads and still nothing(correct targeting, discounts, free shipping, etc...) and not only that but the average time spent on my store is 43 seconds which is terrible and the bounce rate is above average at about 68% hoping that posting this on other threads helps since no one responds to my posts.

Hey, your page loads fine to me but the slideshow image is kind of blurry at the begginig. try to compress that image or save it as jpg. png format is with better quality therefore a larger file for the page to load. Google page speed says that my page loads horrible on mobile but i’ve tried it out multiple times from different browsers on incognito but it loads just fine so i try not to worry about that.

I suggest you try these two tactics:

1. Give store visitors a clear overview of what you are selling

Above the fold area:

The above-the-fold area is important. Within 5 seconds, try to tell people what you are selling. The easiest way to do this is to describe shortly in your hero images about your product.

==> Suggestion: Replace the "Get Free Worldwide Shipping.." with a concise description, such as "Sportswear and Workouts Accessories"

Tips: This will also benefit your SEO.

Feature a broad range of product:

If you are selling men's, women's clothings, accessories, and lifting gears, featuring only clothings on the homepage is miss leading. People will take a quick scroll and assume that's all you have.

==> Suggestion: Instead of featuring many products within some collections, feature all the collections that you have, and right below the above-the-fold area.

3. Make it as easy as possible to evaluate the products.

Your products have many product images, which is good, but not enough. Make sure people have the basic information from your product images and description, just like when they shop offline.

Include 3 types of image:

  • In-scale image: product with its surroundings so that people can estimate its size. You are doing well, but I would suggest you add the model's weight, height and sizes into the images.
  • Feature-highlight images: What are they? For clothing, they are images that zoom into the fabric material, its water-resistance or elasticity.
  • Images of the products from many angles

Many of your product pages are doing well, but you might need to review some, this is an example:

Hello, this is a common complaint from store owners, but I have observed that most of their ads are not targeted ads, you should target specific people, people that are in your product niche and also age group, sometimes gender, that will increase traffic and conversion, and also you can use a conversion funnel to increase sales from your traffic(This has given promising results in the past).

Here are some ways to make your store even better and make people want to purchase.

Homepage Feedback

      1. Make sure the main product images for each product has the same theme / style as some have white vs non-white background right now. This is going to help tie your site together when people are looking at your collection pages

      2. Carousels have been proven to lowers conversions rates ...limit how much you use the one on your site. No one is going to wait around to see what is on each sliders

      3. If you are going to have a product on your homepage. Make it a Featured Product type section as it makes it look like something planned. This leggings needs a section title and why you picked this product to feature

Product Page  Feedback

      1. Add a longer product description as this is how you convince someone to buy on your site. Plus it helps with SEO and ranking in organic search

      2. Remove "Free Shipping Offer Ends" as it looks cheesy and does not make your store look professional

      3. ASOS and other leading fashion brands are doing little fashion videos for their product pages. Something you could film on an iPhone or latest Android and add to your site.

Your store just needs some tweaks to take it up a level. Hope you found this helpful, if so please click "like" below to let me know.
