SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
Hello, i launched my store back in June and am really struggling to make sales, any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I’ve been doing social media marketing with tik tok and Instagram, and have spent a fair bit running ads on Instagram, TikTok and google ads (in excess of £600). When I run ads I see a fair amount of traffic (over 50 visitors a day) but absolutely no sales. I’ve even used a specialist to help me run the ads to ensure they’re strong but no luck. The two sales I’ve seen have been after I’ve partnered with influencers on Instagram, whom I’ve paid a fair bit to post, which does not equate to the sales seen! My store name is www.yaszie.com. I know the items sell as I sell quite frequently on platforms like vinted etc. don’t want to give up but feel I’m burning money at this point!

Hi @Yaszie
I love your store products! the challenges you're facing with your online store. It's not uncommon for new businesses to experience hurdles in generating sales, especially in the competitive online market. I have some suggestions and hope that it helps you a bit
1/ Add clickable link into hero banners
I found that you have CTA button on the banner; however, it cannot redirect to any page. By providing a clickable button/link, you make it easier for users to navigate to relevant pages or products. This seamless navigation is key to a positive user experience, which is crucial for keeping visitors on your site and encouraging them to explore further.
2/ Add more sections on homepage
- Add featured products: I saw that you prepared for Christmas so a section for Christmas collection/ Gift for her ... will be a great. Tailoring your featured products to the season, like Christmas, taps into the current interests and needs of your customers. It makes your website feel up-to-date and relevant, enhancing user engagement.
- Highlight core product, brand features: Some information like your unique selling points will be very useful to attract buyer investigate more on your store such as what materials your clothes made of, it is eco-friendly or not, ...
3/ Collection page
Love your hover images, however, I think you can improve it by ensuring that all product listings follow the same sequence of hover images.
For example, the first hover image could always be the product alone, showcasing it in its entirety or highlighting key features. The second hover image could then consistently show the product in use or worn by a model. This uniform approach helps customers know what to expect as they browse.
- Use swatches to indicate color variations: Swatches provide a clear and immediate visual representation of the available colors. This is much more user-friendly than just listing color names, which can sometimes be ambiguous or confusing.
4/ Some more tips for holiday sale:
Implement gentle animations or interactive graphics to add vitality to your holiday-themed layout, thereby drawing in and retaining the interest of your audience.
Urgency Countdowns: Employ countdown clocks for short-duration deals or quick sales to instill a feeling of urgency and boost sales.
Gift-Wrapping Service: Provide an option for holiday-themed gift wrapping during the checkout process, catering to shoppers buying presents for others and enhancing their convenience.
Finally, patience and persistence are key. Building a successful online business takes time and continuous adaptation. Merry Christmas! 🎄

Hi Yaszie,
This is Amee from Gojiberry - Shopify Survey & Feedback App.
I took a look at your store and have a few suggestions that will help increase your conversion rate:
1. Product images. If you have a more unified background it would give the site an overall more coherent and professional look. Would be better to use models for all your clothing.
2. Sizing. Adding a sizing chart as well as clothing dimensions can help your customers make better-informed decisions. When I look at your product, I am not sure what "medium" or "small" means. A sizing chart that includes, US, and UK sizes, and what size your cloth correspond to would be very helpful.
3. Adding a blog. Adding blog posts about fashion tips, and targeting the right audience can help bring traffic to your site and help with your site's overall SEO.
4. Connecting online with offline. If you have a showroom / physical store, make sure always to tell your customers about your online store, adding a quick card with your online store address provides your new customers a chance to purchase again without coming to your physical store.
5. Testimonials. Try to showcase at least 5 testimonials on your site. Whether it's from friends and family, or your offline store customers. Having some social proof helps boost consumer confidence in your site.
6. Ask your customers! (Most effective for increasing conversion) When you have some converting customers, ask them how they found out about your shop. You can easily do so with a post-purchase survey app, and reward your customers with coupons/points to keep them coming back again. Once you find out your strongest marketing channel, focus more effort and money on that.
Hope this helps!
