Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I'm happy to provide some assistance with notifications and get this resolved. While the ability to disable notifications remains exclusive to those on Shopify Plus, apps such as Klaviyo can be used to leverage a few notifications.
Specifically, Klaviyo offers the ability to send a select few emails, such as abandoned checkout or delivery notifications if disabled within the Shopify admin. I recommend checking out their How To Disable Notification Emails Sent By Shopify documentation for guidance on how to successfully achieve this.
As I can completely understand how this may not be ideal, I am happy to share your feedback with our Developers. We're always looking for ways to improve the platform, but can refer to our Notifications Documentation for a list of automated emails that are currently sent to customers. Newly created customer accounts for example, will automatically receive a welcome email.
