Hello!
I have a new collection launching 31st May 8pm however I'd like to generate some email signs up before then through an early access VIP event in the morning. My idea was to provide a password for the page that only those who have provided email addresses/completed interest form can access. I ideally don't want to password protect my entire website. I will use Klaviyo as the sign up form. Is there an easy way to do this? I have a generic newsletter sign up form, I'm assuming I need to create a klaviyo sign up form especially for this and create a new list? And then attach the list to an email to provide the password once they've signed up? Any help greatly appreciated!
Thank you!! How do I use shopify's password page protection feature?
Here are my suggested steps to achieve what you're trying to do:
I hope this helps!
Thank you!!! This is great. I have all these steps set up ready to go in draft. last question - should i deactivate my normal sign up form temporarily and replace with this? or is there a way to get a link for this specific form that I can share on social media so it takes them direct to the form and I can keep my master sign up form?
Great thank you, I will try it!!!! Final question.... as best practice, how should I direct people to the page? If I add the page as a url in an email with the password people can access it before the launch. But I want to make sure people have access to the URL and the password before launch day for ease. Would it just be as simple as adding the collection at the time of launch so that people can access the page up until launch but can't actually see any products?
Sorry - where do I find this? 'Add the form to the page: In the page content, add the wholesale registration form using the {{ render 'card-product' ... }} code snippet (modified earlier). This will display the form on the page.'
Hi, This is BSS Commerce
I think you can try our app B2B Login Lock Hide Price BSS to hide your collection pages, or use password to allow specific customers to access pages.
Actually, if you have a list of VIP attendances to your event, there are 2 way to protect your new collection
1. Hide your collection page: You put all your VIP attendance by a tag, or you can insert directly their email when you set up rule
Go to Hide Pages -> Specific Collection: choose Collection -> Exclude specific customers: fill email or specify by tag
2. Use the protected password: You can use Klaviyo or any tool to create a form -> Send an email with the password. But I think it will take a little time, and you can't handle the number of requests that can view your new collection.

I found you before you posted - I've set it all up! I've given the password to those that have signed up via email, and I've password protected the page. Before launch, I plan to quickly upload the collection. Is this a bad idea?
